R3 is supposed to be the tuning arm of Proton. Something like AMG for Mercedes and M Division for BMW. The only great product they had was the old Satria R3 with 3 different stages of tune. And then they sort of waste our time with bodykits. And some not very marketable engine tuning parts.
Now they start to deal with whole works car. If its R3 that means it should be fast. AMG & M Division only deals with powerful cars. So in this case, if everyone heard about those turbo engines that is supposed to be sold by Proton, then it could be used as an R3 product. I doubt anyone would be easily fished again by bodykits. Giving that a lot of Korean cars giving out free body kits with some of their cars. If R3 is gonna come out with cars with only bodykits and wheels, then their business idea is definitely not good. Because there are a lot of bodykit shops waiting to clone them with cheaper price. And no one would be the wiser. |
