don't like the direction m43 is going now, there won't be a 12-35/35-100 f2.0 fast zoom ever, not even f2.8 as they said will be too big, looks like they will only make small lens regardless of performance,no bokelicious for your zoom zoom, only small lens sir

if u wan a fast lense, look at 4/3 lenses then.
with a mmf1/2 adaptor, u can use the oly 14-54 II f/2.8-3.5...
that's the 1 i'm using
*
then we have to give up a lot of the fast AF advantage by the current m4/3 body offering as non native 4/3 lens focus slower
upcoming 12-35/35-100 x lens won't have f2.0 constant aperture as early indicates, might even slower than f2.8 which is hugely dissappointing, being already in a lesser advantage position from having smaller sensor

the final aperture specification actually still haven't been determined,i hope its going to be better than f2.8,maybe f2.0 or at least f2.5,this suppose to be a pro lens

omd just feel so good on hand, super solid and compact
i'm still hesitate over om-d and nex-7
anyone has sample picture of 45mm f1.8 portrait or half body portrait shot,i need to see the actual intensity of the bokeh with 4/3 sensor under this condition

i stopped looking at NEX bcoz of their huge @$$ lenses!
defeats the purpose of a small body....

but this is just my opinion of coz...

i don't mind huge lens for huge sensor though, they serve a purpose for being huge, not only from technological standpoint(lower noise, better dynamic range bla bla) but the photographic effect(shallower depth of field)which cannot effectively deflate by technological advancement, being mirrorless they already reduce to only what essential on the camera.another thing is the reluctance of m4/3 manufacturer to releasing lens for professional crowd, they seems to always place priority in form over factor, that worries me in joining m4/3

As being debated in many online community, in the image quality, the difference between APC's and 4/3 sensor are now negligible. As commented by DPReview:

"The E-M5 can't completely overcome the light capture disadvantage brought by its smaller sensor, compared to APS-C, but it reduces it to the point that it's irrelevant for almost all practical purposes. At which point we think its size advantage, in terms of both body and lenses, will outweigh that difference for most uses. If you're absolutely unwilling to compromise on image quality then spending twice the money and moving up to the bulk of full-frame is the only way of gaining a significant step up from the E-M5."

I disagree on your point on the lens aspect, I would say that m4/3 format has the most number of lenses and I don't believe on the category of the professional lenses as even kit lenses can be used by pros.

Speaking of focal length, here are great line of lenses, this is still incomplete considering lenses from 3rd party.
Prime: 12mm f2.0, 20mm f1.7, 45mm f1.8, 45mm f2.8 Macro, 25mm f0.95, upcoming 75mm f1.8, 60mm f2.8 macro weather-sealed.
Zoom: 7-14mm f4.0, 9-18mm f3.5-5.6, 12-50mm OM-D kit lens and the upcoming 14-35mm f2.8 from Panasonic

Here's the complete line of lenses for m4/3

m4/3 Lens Lineup

Sony and other system don't even reach half of what m4/3 have that are specifically designed for mirrorless.

i think u have to read my post twice or more before u bring up your point
image quality, yeah 1 day 4/3 size sensor can be as noise free and as clear as full frame but thats not my concern as i don't pixel peep,my point is that they can't have the same subject isolation power as do larger sensor, that is not something technology can overcome because it is pure physic
for instance,i find m4/3 maximum bokeh ability with their kit lens at 42mm f5.6 is a bit lacking, even less so or just comparable to my xz-1 at 112mm f2.5,but i find adequate separating power with aps-c camera with their kit lens at 55mm f5.6, this means that i might be able to compose acceptable portrait shot with aps-c kit lens at a pinch

yes i know m4/3 consortium has create more lens than other mirrorless,it doesn't take a gadget nerd to know that, but i not contented with their any of their offering just yet, even widest aperture ie the 45mm f1.8 has just the same isolating power as aps-c sensor 50mm f3.2,and the upcoming 75mm f1.8 will be too long for my liking,150mm equiv dude.....and from the manufacturer statement they will always consider form over factor, meaning it will take a long time for them (if ever)to release lens with aperture greater than f1.8 which will compensate the sensor size disadvantage.

but i still wish to own the om-d because i think it looks great, the jpeg engine is fantastic (i don't shoot raw to pixel peep),and if anybody can show me that 45mm f1.8 is adequate to create lovely portrait,i might still gravitate towards om-d,thats the real point i'm posting here

See sample below just to demonstrate the bokeh capability of the 45mm taken with Olympus E-P2 using 45mm at f1.8, ISO200, 1/500 shutter speed.
