Just popped over to Lowyat plaza just now. OM-D is everywhere. Price range r mad. Some even sell higher than RRP. But some do go lower than rm4K for kit.
*
Lower than RM4k for KIT?
mind PM me which store, very attractive price blink.gif

We were almost having the same route that day, but I didn't make it near the FRU, I was trying to "squeeze" myself towards dataran merdeka around 3pm, but that's when they start firing chemical water/tear gas. My cam is not weather sealed so I ran backward quickly @@

I think the guy I saw with a black EM-5 that day at Jln Sultan was you rclxms.gif

anyone here using 3rd party BLS-1 battery for the Olympus Pen ?

everything works great but am having a little problem removing the battery from camera compartment.  after pushing the spring up, battery jumps out only a little and feels a little "stuck" at the sides when u attempt to pull it.

to be fair, it's also not exactly super smooth removing the original battery but at least there's no feeling of that little friction against the sides.

wondering if it's my E-P3 or just the battery ...
*
This is normal, because the surface of the 3rd party battery is not really flat, that's why it doesn't pop up smoothly like the original batt. When I purchased mine last year, the 3rd party battery hardly come out as it is too "fat", I have to use my nail to slowly pull it out. Luckily the seller was kind enough to replace another unit which able to remove easily.

I sense the color of EP-3 is more vibrant than OM-D..any comment?
*
it depends how you compare it, both camera OOC JPEG with same in-camera picture mode?
honestly i have never done so. I owned e-p3 before, to me em-5 sensor has the same "olympus color rendering", but with better ISO performance. This is just my 2cents, I am not a pro smile.gif

The 12-50mm seems to be a nice lens after all... I think it look like a mini 70-200mm of those full frame dslr...  sweat.gif
*
I wish the aperture could be bigger, but KIT lens, cannot ask too much.
Anyway, i find it's "nice to hold" when mounted on em-5 as well, I hold the camera on the lens when walking around, it's even nicer to hold on the em-5 tiny body itself, hhahaha rclxms.gif

is the IQ from this lens nice and sharp?
*
it's depends how you compare it, of cos it's not on par with prime lens like Oly 12mm, Pana Leica 25mm.
But as a kit lens, I find it sharp enough and the focal length is very very convenient, it's 24-100mm in full frame.
Not to mention that it is also weather sealed!

bear in mind I am just a noobie photography enthusiast, there are tons of professional review out there for this lens which you might want to take a look smile.gif
