the difference is with the bundled lens.

GX1W comes with one 14-42mm (conventional) and one 14mm/f2.5 pancake lens.

GX1X comes with one 14-42mm (power zoom).

Btw, if you know the price, let me know too. Looking to buy one set of GX1W

power zoom only useful for video ler..if u dun shoot video often dun reli need it. Not sure for IQ though
in terms of size Pana X lens is like pancake size. More compact than d normal kit lens

not fast af..power zoom mean zoom la..smooth zooming when using it in video.

Get EP3 if tats ur budget. Or else invest abit more, get EM5 body only (Rm3k?) and 2nd hand kit lens

Never play the X lens b4 so i not sure. But u can alwiz switch off the body IS.
ur question 2 and 3 need refer review of the X lens. Y not get Olympus 12-50mm? It also has power zoom.
Not to mention it had wider coverage and longer zoom. The draw back is the aperture value on long zoom.

i was thinking would it make more sense to get GX1 and 20mm f1.7 instead...at rm3500 i get GX1 + 14 f2.8 + 14-42 + 20mm f1.7

Ya I at first had the same thought, but after fiddling with the settings on my ep-2 I found out that the noise filter is always active, while the noise reduction only kick in after an imaged was captured. Do correct me if i was wrong thou

Yes if you buy the olympus zuiko micro 4/3 lenses, the metering and focusing will work correctly on your camera. And if you buy olympus zuiko 4/3 lenses, attached with an adapter to your camera, it will still function as well. 

As what sadaniel said, samyang will be a better option if you are tight on budget. Just one thing about samyang is that the lens is manual focus only no auto focus, but it is relatively easy to use on your panasonic as you will be using screen to compose and focus all the time. And yes the 7-14mm is expensive, but when you compare to other brands you will notice that the panasonic one is alot cheaper. No to say because of brand or anything, is because less glass were used in the m4/3, thus contribute a little in reducing the cost Why don't you try take a look at olympus 9-18mm?

Actually macro a, I have one suggestion for you, it will not cost more than RM1500. What I will recommend is that you get a mmf-2, a 4/3 to m4/3 adapter, which cost about 449 if i not mistaken, and then you get a 4/3 35mm macro lens, which cost about 799 if i not mistaken. That is a very powerful olympus lens, quite sharp for the price given. So total you will be only spending around 1300 plus minus like that haha XD. I recommend this because me myself already bought this package XD

I believe any oly or pana camera nowdays can shoot a very clean images even at iso above 3200. So in my opinion dont let the unavailability of IS prevent you from getting a lens. And do remember IS only helps compensate shakes, but not completely remove it
