EM-5 ergonomics are disappointing. Picture quality is darn good.

QUOTE(sioe @ Apr 16 2012, 06:46 PM) Hey guys, to the soon to be OM-D EM-5 owners, Give us the link to see the spec. If u guys are interested in getting high quality screen protectors for your precious and expensive baby, kindly PM me. I may have a unit or two for sale. The protectors are not the average chapalang ones that edges flake off or leaves part of the LCD exposed. I'm ordering the items direct from Germany and its by 3M. I used it before on my EP3 and after fitting it on, I always thought it had fallen off as it sticks precisely on the LCD and its super thin. Touch screen is not in anyway affected. Price is around rm40-45 depending on postage but for a camera that cost rm5K, i personally feel its worth it. Just sharing my opinion. Have a good day! |

QUOTE(sniper on the roof @ Apr 22 2012, 11:42 PM) Had a quick play w the em-5... How come no one say anything about the ergonomic wan? The buttons too small and close together, the rear wheel so far away that my thumb cant reach and the strap lugs gets in the way The truth is hurting. I already posted sometime back on the design flaw. |

QUOTE(allic @ May 14 2012, 01:25 PM) anyone encounter issue with your em5? twice i faced the camera hang during my jalan2 photoshoot at the park...at the screen just purely your frontal view and no other settings is shown on the screen...move to the EVF, it would not auto shut the OLED screen and activate the EVF.. ..then tried to switch off the camera via the on/off switch also no effect....finally had to take out the battery and restart then all back to normal. People here like to talk good Thing OMD can perform. Bad comment they choose to sweep it under the carpet. |

QUOTE(xandman @ May 17 2012, 06:52 AM) guys... You must off the camera and on it back in order for the rattle snake noise to go away. need some help... just bought my Summilux 25 m4/3 yesterday.... images are awesome i must say for a cheap lense.... but the focusing is noisy... is this normal? help please? THanks! http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/readflat...76&changemode=1 As another poster mentioned, the noise is noisy shutter blades chattering while the camera is being pointed at scenes with differing exposures. So outdoors, I almost never hear the clicking. It mostly occurs indoors when pointing inadvertently at a bright light source like a lamp. A workaround for this to use autoexposure lock. On my EPL1, I have AE lock connected to the "REC" button. So if I need the camera to be mostly silent, I can hit AE lock to freeze the exposure, point the camera somewhere else, and hit AE lock again to measure exposure at the new spot. That way, I only get the clicking once, rather than continuously. This post has been edited by OlgaC4: May 17 2012, 09:39 AM |
