yeah i like GX1 sensor but other than that i prefer ep3.. and the new OM-D that is going to launch somewhere next month make the choice harder...
I'm more curious about the XZ-2 Micro Four Thirds (m43) User Thread V4, Pana & Oly mirrorless system camera!

The GX1 and E-P3 is something like Android vs Iphone kinda thingy.
GX1 is technically superior for sure. Much better sensor that's 1 stop better than the E-P3 (ISO1600 better than E-P3's ISO800. Better video. Spot focus etc. I don't like the 460K resolution screen though E-P3 is more cool and got "mojo". ps: the "grey" look of panasonic's jpeg can be adjusted via the in camera white balance and picture style settings wan. QUOTE(subrok007 @ Feb 3 2012, 09:28 PM) I think it makes better sense to go out shoot with it to see what sort of pics u can get rather than shooting a can.QUOTE(enriquelee @ Feb 4 2012, 12:09 AM) GX 1 have better hardware like android, while EP3 is more trendy like IPhone. Ya lor.. E-P3 a nicely tricked out but its still the same old sensor dating as far back as the original e-p1/gf1.Is this what you are trying to say? : ) G3 and the GX1 are with brand new sensor with. Etter high iso and dynamic range. The former being quite close to the canon aps-c di. QUOTE(Wuahaha @ Feb 4 2012, 10:55 PM) Looks very Photoshopped ... why they left the pentaprism hump ... a bit ugly ... size so big defeats purpose of m4/3 already. I think it makes sense...Pens for small and OM-D for folks that want something more pro. Nevertheless i think without the accessory grip and the battery grip.. The size looks not much bigger than e-p3 thought the hump seems like purely for aesthetics since the evf doesnt go that high. |

QUOTE(ykhwee01 @ Feb 6 2012, 02:01 AM) Previously im using 14mm and now changed to 20mm. Here is the test shot. So far, I personally think 20mm does way better than 14mm. That's a very nice photo. I love the tone.. goes so well with the theme.Any comment pls. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(hellfire8888 @ Feb 6 2012, 03:47 AM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « On that leaked picture you can finally see the upcoming new E-M5 in all possible angles and with the new external flash (there is no built-in flash!). And for the first time you can see the new 75mm f/1.8 and 60mm f/2.8 macro lenses!!! As I told you days ago, only the macro lens is weather sealed. All new Olympus accessories, Battery grip, Four Thirds adapter and external flash are weather sealed! The camera has the fastest autofocus of all digital interchangeable market currently on market! (yeah even faster than a $5000 Nikon D4) It shoots 4fps or 9fps without that powerful AF in action. Shutter speed is 60-1/4000sec. It has an innovative five axis image stabilization, a 16 megapixel sensor (probably the same from the Panasonic GX1). It uses the powerful Truepic VI engine. ISO range goes from 200 up to 25,600 ISO. Unlike the Fuji X PRO 1 (the current preorder king) the E-M5 has a 1.44 Million dot EVF placed in the middle of the camera. The 3 inch OLED touch screen is tiltable . It records in Full HD Mpeg format (no AVCHD 2.0). Camera dimension without grip: 122mm x 89mm x 43mm and weight 369 grams. Price of that beast: 1100 Euro or $1200. The camera will be announced on Wednesday ( I guess it will be announced between 2-3 in the morning London time!). Stay tuned on 43rumors! You can join our group on facebook and follow our tweets. As you know I am going to sum all links to news and reviews in one single post. I will make it easy for you to not miss any interesting detail of the new camera. source : http://www.43rumors.com/ |

QUOTE(0300078 @ Feb 6 2012, 09:39 AM) look so classic but i just doubt the price would be any cheaper than the Fuji X pro.... for me it depends on the price.... Fuji is really out already.... can get a 5dmk2 already for the price paying them. Sure cheaper di... but much more expensive than the current crop la.Besides.. 5DMk2 needs lens to... factor in the 35mm L ... already much more expensive than the X Pro. QUOTE(ykhwee01 @ Feb 6 2012, 10:13 AM) Sweet... one minor nit picking is the text box too big.. already kacau the cup di |

QUOTE(aquos @ Feb 11 2012, 04:00 PM) 1.The OM-D is quite tiny compared to the SLR of the 70's and 80's. The width Until today I still never buy a m43 cos kenot afford the useful lens + body at one shot lo.is only 122mm compared to the smallest old school slr the Nikon FG which is 136mm. 2.Another thing is the 12-50mm lens which is already so long and look odd. Will the lens extend further when zoomed to maximum? 3.This camera will be great with the panasonic 14m f2.5 I think. Something to save up for 4.Many good product shot here:- http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/omd-em5/omd-em5A.HTM 14mm + 25mm + 45mm kau tim. |

QUOTE(merajey @ Feb 19 2012, 10:14 AM) Taiwan launched di... body price is about ~RM3.5K and with the new kit ~RM4.5KQUOTE(shauyan @ Feb 19 2012, 10:59 AM) I wish to get a faster lens for my newborn baby especially indoor. Just use the 14mm f2.5 lo... should be ok at around ISO800 wat cos I don't really have issues shooting my 8 month old with compacts though my 2 year is another story.1) Of course PL 25mm f1.4, but a bit of the budget 2) Oly Zuiko 45mm f1.8 I'm using GF2, satisfied with 14-42mm until recently when shooting baby. I need to go up to ISO1600. However, slow AF and shutter caused the blur. Sifu here how is the Oly 45mm compared to PL 25mm? Zuiko do not have IS and will affect largely on GF2? |
