Does anyone have this issue with the Sensei where the profile gets reset to default whenever the PC boots? It's quite annoying that I have to keep selecting my custom profile over and over again.
*
I encountered the same issue... the solution for now is to untick the Steelseries Engine startup service under "msconfig"

My sensei says hi thumbup.gif

Thanks for the tip dude, already submitted a ticket to SS. See how their engineers fix this one  hmm.gif

Meanwhile here's mine with a competitor's mouse pad  sweat.gif

At least I'm not alone with that bug smile.gif will let u guys know about the ticket response once it gets replied.

Heh thanks, the Megasoma has served me well. Sensei feels pretty good on it, not too slippery. ExactLift set at 14, anything more than that it starts jumping during "lift off"  biggrin.gif  How about you guys?
*
Hey i have my sensei's ExactLift set at 14 or 33% too! brows.gif
Now what's left is the driver update from SS whistling.gif

If there is one minor problem I have with the Ikari Laser, is that once I got the Xai and kept it in storage for a while, the rubber surface became all sticky. doh.gif
*
Agree with you... my ex-Kinzu suffered the peeling from the matte rubber coating and sticky feel (aka resin rot) doh.gif
so I avoided the Xai and went for the Sensei tongue.gif

Cool here what support had to say:
No wonder it keeps going to that damn Aion profile!!!
*
I tried to rename my profile to "Aa" but after restarting my pc it still defaults back to the Aion orange LED settings hmm.gif
Guess I will stick to unticking the msconfig startup service till SS releases a new driver version whistling.gif

Peeling? Oh wow. Mine wasn't that bad.

I renamed mine as "Aa - iVantage". After that, it doesn't toggle to the Aion profile anymore. laugh.gif
*
After you rename the "Aa" profile, do you need to drag it into the on board mouse profile? eg. Profile 1?
Mine still toggles back to Aion profile even after renaming mad.gif
Are you on Windows 7 64bit?

Nope, just renamed it and it was okay?

Yeah, Windows 7 64-bit.

I have submitted a ticket to SS Support team with regards to this issue and apparently the new driver will be released on friday notworthy.gif

SS support team's reply:
" Indeed I've realized that the fix does not work currently. We're releasing a new version on Friday that will resolve the issue. Simply uninstall your current version (select to clear profiles) and install the new version on Friday and it will be entirely fixed without any need for a workaround.

Hope you can wait the few days
smile.gif "

Now the wait begins whistling.gif

Unless they make a version that really says that the mic has been fixed/improved, I might not get another one either.

You can consider the Astro heasets too tongue.gif

Ya lar, I got for design. Haha. EG and SK Gaming's design looks crappy. Tyloo and Fnatic looks awesome. Tyloo is a china based team if I'm not mistaken. Na'vi, not really a fan. Haha. I support local team only, Duskbin to be exact.
*
ermmm not really... SK's design looks pretty good in real life imo smile.gif

but your mileage may vary laugh.gif

Source: http://www.overclock.net/t/1183274/kinzu-v...v2-pro-and-kana

"Hi everyone. I started reading this forum a while back, and a few of you have been really nice in providing suggestions, feedback and testing - thus I feel it's appropriate to give a heads up here first. This week we will soft launch a couple of new mice, initially in Asia (I am writing this from Korea). Some regions will get them sooner than others, depending on logistics and other factors, some maybe even as early as next week. In early January we will turn everything on and they should be available globally.

The new mice being released are;

Kinzu v2
Kinzu v2 Pro
Kana

All the mice are optical. Ambidextrous. Several color spins will be released of all versions.

The Kinzu v2 Pro is pretty much based on requests/demands/complaints/feedback from you guys. It features teflon feet and Omron switches. We listen.

Kana uses the same formfactor as Kinzu, but it is 4% bigger overall. That puts it (literally) right in the middle between Kinzu/Sensei in terms of size, for those of you familiar with those shapes. We have upgraded the feet and switches in Kana, also based on feedback from this forum.

I sent units for testing to Bullveyr, Skylit, Derp and Furuya. Received amazing feedback. Like really amazing. We normally focus our testing on competitive gamers, but I was very impressed with the detailed feedback we got from the 4 gentlemen mentioned above. We even found and corrected bugs that might have slipped thru the "pro's". My deepest thanks to those of the 4 who had time to help test, this is something I would for sure like to do again - both for new products but also for new firmware/software releases.

I don't really visit this forum to sell, but I promised you guys to get feedback from people who are both knowledgeable and trusted.. And that now falls on the 4 gentlemen. As of December 14th they are free to answer any questions, that was the deal I made with them back then.

I will try to check in as well to answer questions.

Cheers - and thanks for all the great feedback and suggestions.

good replacement for MX518 is G400 tongue.gif
dont bother.
both technically same sensor, but just paying quite abit more for interpolation u dont need on the sensei.
*
Having tried both mouses, imo I feel that the L/R buttons used in Sensei feels more tactile and better responsive feedback as compared to the Xai's.
And also the side buttons are much easier to click against the Xai's too.
Not to forget the improved and wider scroll wheel as well blush.gif
This is just my 2 cents and your mileage may vary though laugh.gif

New SS firmware updates released rclxms.gif notworthy.gif

http://steelseries.com/support/downloads

Firmware updates: Sensei and Kana

Hi everyone, we have released new firmware updates for SteelSeries Sensei and SteelSeries Kana - this can be downloaded from our download section (click Sensei or Kana, choose Windows Firmware Update tool).

Windows Firmware Update Tool v1.17.8.6 contains important fixes and improvements for the firmware on the Sensei and Kana mice. In particular, the improvements are defined below:

Sensei (firmware version 244):

- The Sensei no longer stays powered on while the computer is in sleep mode.

- Performance Enhancements: Read and Write operations have been dramatically improved. The Sensei cursor no longer “skips” for 1-2 seconds when switching between profiles or saving profiles.

- In unique certain situations, DCPI mode would get disabled. This issue has been resolved.

- ExactAim and ExactAccel no longer cancel each other out.

Kana (firmware version 260):

- Fixed an intermittent issue that caused the cursor to be stuck in movement when the mouse is quickly moved off the surface.
