Anyone here owns a Siberia Full-Size headset(not v2)? I had mine since March 2010. However, the left side died today. Before this, I've taken good care of it so I'm puzzled. I detached the headphones from the volume control and tested on my hand phone and true enough, the left side was a goner.

The 1-year warranty has expired. I called the place(PJ Digital Mall) where I bought it from, but was recommended to head all the way to Lowyat to repair it. But I don't even know where in Lowyat, since there are so many shops there.

Can any of you help to recommend a reputable retailer or supplier that repair headphones? I won't be buying another one, knowing that a decent headset like this should last much longer.

Cannot send back to PI for service ke? Because you'll need an authorized personnel to fix your headsets.

Well, the customer service told me to find a Steelseries retailer somewhere in Lowyat, since they cannot service a headset that is out of warranty. I don't mind paying, but this is absurd.

The AllIT(PJ Digital Mall) has a service centre there(I was able to exchange the headset during the warranty period)

I think what he meant was go straight to the SteelSeries main distributor which is Play Interactive. Try asking them if they can help you repair your siberia or not. But then, even can be repair. It will be quite costly I think.

You're probably right. If the repair is gonna be over RM100 which I predict its possible, then I'll pass.

I can't believe my headset has brought such crummy luck. Almost RM400 for an almost two years of use without rough handling.

life isn't fair, don't you agree? tongue.gif

Indeed, and at a bad timing too! sad.gif I'll try to call them up tomorrow.

there is a place in low yat plaza that will fix your headset? interesting, never heard of such place. Try calling Play Interactive and ask them? the contact info is available at the very first page of this thread. But yours is a Inter-Asia unit right? I doubt it is going to be cheap..because it is more or less the same as fixing a parallel imported unit.

According to AllIT's customer service representative, he said there might be one. But surely finding the right shop would be tough. Worse if there's none. cry.gif

Yes, as stated on the sticker behind the box. If you don't mind, do you know roughly how much would the repair cost? I can't simply dump a decent headset like that.

I've called Inter-Asia and they only offer warranty service. Nothing can be done for my headset. Then I was told to call Play Interactive.

It seemed that their website is outdated. Contact number cannot be reached(not in service). shakehead.gif

You should call directly to PI, no point calling IA cos they got nothing to do with SS now. Tried asking at the SS MY fan club page at fb?

I did, and was told. Then the representative suggested me to call PI, which the number was not reachable.

UPDATE: Stumbled across this PcWorks fella, since there are some threads about repair services from him. I hope the repair wouldn't cost a bomb though. Already PMed him and awaiting reply.

@antonio: Do you know any price quotes, by any chance? I don't solder, so don't wanna have a melted headset and a burnt table laugh.gif
