i dont trust reviews done by teams sponsored by steelseries/ any other team sponsored by gaming equipment company is just like wtf? Of course the comments by them about the mouse will be outstanding, they sponsor the team peripherals and etc  sweat.gif
*
razer sponsored teams=steelseries mouse & others sucks
steelseries sponsored teams=razer mouse &other sucks

QUOTE(glamour @ Jan 31 2012, 11:05 AM)

*
quite good for fps gaming given if you like the shape of the mouse
its kinda special
or you could try kana
i used DA for dota due to its ability to set single buttons on the side
i used MS3.0 for CS still tongue.gif

Wah. Poison. But V2, blue with white is really something.  happy.gif

TechnoG: Err.. Not comfy? Really?

Btw, does noise cancelling on Siberia is good? Because beside my PC is TV. =.="
*
noise isolating is better term
the headset has a quite good noise isolation
its comfy for me

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Jan 31 2012, 10:44 PM)
Ima changing to xai soon,
fed up with my DA, sometimes when i play MW3 it swing around like mad,
I'm sure its not mat problem since it appears randomly.
and the double click issue.
This is my second DA already.

see you guys soon.
Xai now RM250 only hehe worth for the price
*
talk to me who is on my 3rd DA or my 6th razer mouse tongue.gif

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jan 31 2012, 11:10 PM)
the one that was released on CES is it? I think it is moar expensive cos IINM, it is the same as the Sib v2 D3, just that it is replaced by blue thingy.

Sib is not a noise cancelling headset. smile.gif Yeah, no comfy. I would rather go for Electra instead, cos the cups can swivel to suit fatheads. tongue.gif but then the leather cups may make you sweat after long period of time..but I think you can get cloth replacements at razerzone.
*
both feels ok to me
u that fat ke mang?

@crimson
4h is good only for fps gaming
Suggest u get V1
I 17 also keep changing gear. Buy sell buy sell.. If u asked forumers here they would know hw many gear I changed tongue.gif
Just wondering what u want the headset for?
If gaming what game u play
And ur preferences
Glide dot apply on your mousefeet
But I suggest u get the glide for the mouse instead of the glide dot

I play pretty much fps, rhythm, MOBA (Ie LoL/HoN). I do enjoy music when playing rhythm games and do use mics a plenty.

also can you explain a bit more to me about the glide? I am still confused.
*
the no choice siberia v1 or v2
they are quite balanced headset
4h is more towards competitive FPS gaming
or you could prefer other brands headset which suits ur budget or needs
i never tried glide dot before
so i have this in mind
its like a lotion that can be used on your mousefeet..something like polish
but i have a bad feeling that those ''lotion'' will eventualy wiped off by the pad
i still have no real prove to this as i havent try it personally

QUOTE(xandman @ Feb 1 2012, 06:53 PM)
thats what i was thinking as well.
Bcoz some of my macros consists of letters...
even those are not usable on mac...
hmmmmm....

it semms ur quite knowledgeable about steelseriess stuff...
maybe u can help me decide...
Siberia v2 or 7h for gaming?
mostly FPS and RTS.
I am confused whats the difference between the 2.
notworthy.gif
*
7H->If you are competitive gamer
Siberia V2-> if you are more to realistic gaming
siberia v2 and 7h are almost ALMOST the same
but 7h has a better soundstage
u choose

@Crimson:

If you play more games than Music with your headset, 4H is good enough  nod.gif Note that it is horrible for music. Treble too high  whistling.gif
*
im not keeping them i keep on upgrade and downgrade to feel the mouse
waste money tongue.gif

Hey guys. Firstly sorry if i asking other product here. Im really torn with these 3 model. Gonna buy 1 within this week. Hope can get some guide, opinion on this. Previously im using TB PX21. But sold it coz it really not comfortable. Wear it 1 hour and i my ear starting to sore. >.<

What i want is super comfy + good sound isolation (thanks TS correting me. forgot bout this term =p)  Currently im thinking these model. Razer Orca / Razer Electra : at rm200 omg! And Siberia super awesome Limited Blue V2 at rm400. Can help me out here. Just want to get the best and worth for my super hard earn working part time pay.  tongue.gif

Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif
*
Its still up to you
Electra and Orca are both good for gaming
v2 is greater
but the bass for orca could intefere gaming due to the lower treble and higher bass
If you are more to competitve gaming i suggest you the siberia v2(can be used on street also looked stylish)
If you like booming ur ears with bass i think electra and orca is a good choice for a budget headphone(note i think both also dont have mic, correctme if i were wrong, cuz i read it somewhere in forum said that electra is no mic while razerzone said its included...orca is totaly no mic)
My 2 cents
Just 1 advise..Its better to spend more on a better headset than waste money upgrading them later
thats what i learnt from changing A LOT LOT OF gaming gear
If you have a fren who have them try ask them to borrow you for a few days
trying them for 2-3min is useless

Its up to you then,
If I were you I will fork out more to get the v1.
Comfort wise its ok unless u have a big head
Razer headphones looked stylish but I still wonder how they perform in games. The orca had too much bass than my current carcharias which interfered my gaming.
V1 is perfect if you are not a bass head
Bro I advise you not to get cap ayam la.
I also come from cap ayam one
They can't even do shit

save up your money and get Electra or Z2 instead. tongue.gif I also won't recommend Orca actually, cos it cannot be compared with Electra..except for the price.
*
I haven't tried electra before
The looks quite good duno how it performs

My first SS mouse biggrin.gif Like it very much, especially the size, when DA is a lil too big for me to intensively play fps game for long time as I use a bit force to grab the mouse.
However when I put it on QCK , rarely use, the friction sounds is much than the goliathus speed edition. hmm.gif
*
welcome rclxms.gif

QUOTE(0168257061 @ Feb 2 2012, 05:53 PM)
when you glide the mouse there is a little sound one.

that ambi design is nice for me biggrin.gif somewhat a little smaller than the da
*
i somehow agree with you to this
size is more manageable than the DA

QUOTE(TENAXIS @ Feb 2 2012, 07:22 PM)
if ppl ask me which SS headphones to buy

i would prolly point them to siberia V2
I dont have a siberia but a friend of mine had his for 1.2 years already no problem soo far

i bought the 7H, hoping that they were durable
and and they break after like a few months

1st was mic stop working
then cable malfunction which makes the left earcup not working
also when you hang the headphones by the "arc" the earcups hang outwards which looks quite worrying...

im hoping the first 2 are just unlucky ones that breaks early, and the 3rd one will be a good proper SS quality that wont break after a few months

just my 2 cents :S
*
just wondering
is ur SS 7G bought on first batch?

cant wait tonight to test on bf3...
need to remove the Razer program...right?
need to install Steel Series program?

[attachmentid=2665820]

dont need..just install
the driver only let you tweak the cpi oni

QUOTE(TENAXIS @ Feb 3 2012, 12:54 PM)
i doubt it, it cant be that new is it? I bought it last year on June before the 1st two RMA
yeah i kinda regret buying the 7H, should've done some research.
I always assume the best product a brand can give is reflected by the price. :S
if the 3rd one is no go also, im just gonna go with the Siberia V2s.
no problem.

ON a side not, im planning to buy a SS keyboard.
2 choices are 7G and 6Gv2, seeing how the 7H handles and siberiav2 performs.

im leaning towards the 6Gv2 but i wanna hear it from u guys.

anyone hear bought and used the 7G and/or the 6Gv2.

happy with the purchase??
any problems i should be worried abt?
*
if under budget the 6Gv2 it does pretty much everything same as 7G
oni that 7G comes with few usb ports, audio jacks and a wrist rest

QUOTE(victor2212 @ Feb 3 2012, 01:09 PM)
7G comes with wrist rest and usb audio jacks ports, 6gv2 just plain nothing but keyb tongue.gif

im using 7G no prob so far, everdying is also using 7G, i think HELLkeeper is 6GV2.

not many complains about this two keyb iirc
*
le me using razer keyboard = arctosa

Hey guys I am looking for a few Steelseries products.

I am looking at the Ikari Laser and Xai and probably the Sensei for my mouse.

Headset probably Siberia V2 or 7H.

Which would you recommend for FPS and MOBA (HoN/LoL)?
*
Mouse=xai or sensei..ikari laser is outdated unless you like the shape
headset i reccomend sibV2 since there is a number of user has problem with the 7h
QUOTE(okf987 @ Feb 3 2012, 02:47 PM)
Has anyone tried the Gunnar eye-wares namely the Desmo?

Would like to know if it really really helps with staring at the Computer for hours.

@FukaDa

Thanks still kinda confuse with 7H and V2 which is more comfy for long hours of gaming and not too mention sound quality.
*
according to PI, they said very good

@chongkiats
So far I haven't heard much about xai's acceleration and so as experienced it
@glamour
The lifting distance is when u lift up the mouse and the mouse still can track. Ikari optic is 3.5mm high when normal laser is 1mm
@016
Ya I experienced it. Very annoying. So I disabled it
