Kana's firmware will have an update soon. Apparently Steelseries are making a final inspection before releasing it.

Question is, will it gain the trust from gamers after its problematic debut?

how many KANA u heard there's issue of it? only by watching the video?? hmm.gif
Seriously i don't see a serious issue here except for this unlucky guy that has such issue.. just like sensei im using it from launch till now, i still don get any paint faded or any issue from the mouse. just my 2cents smile.gif

that kana issue is a hardware issue, the sensor cant track at high speeds and malfunctions which makes it spin around like mad.

But the DA got more problems, double click issue etc. That's why they came out with the Refresh? Lol.

What if, the Kana is set to lower CPI, like 800-1000. Will it still spin like that? If yes, probably its the sensor's defect. If it can happen to one mouse, it may happen to others too, but some are not aware.

xai also got double click issue which u know already tongue.gif
almost all mouses uses omron switches, even razer...so any mouse will eventually get that issue.
of cos with more ppl buying a certain brand, u see more complains.
same with cars, same with anything else.

and nothing to do with cpi, you see the mouse specs that says inches per second and 15G etc etc...that part.

the kana from the specs sounds like its using the same sensor in the roccat kova+...and i guess some ppl got their own opinions on that roccat mouse tongue.gif

SteelSeries Kana Mouse Review

Earlier this week we reviewed the SteelSeries Kinzu V2 Pro Edition. That mouse was aimed at those who want a decent gaming mouse with good build quality but basic functions so that the cost is kept down. SteelSeries also offer some great high end mice such as the Sensei which cater for another group of consumers and then somewhere in-between there are those that want something a little more than the Kinzu offers but without the high price of the enthusiast mice.

Filling one of the gaps between the Kinzu V2 and the Sensei, Xai etc is SteelSeries new Kana mouse. Announced at CES earlier this week it focuses on providing gamers with a budget some decent functionality with a little more style than the Kinzu.

15G max acceleration
40 inches per second

Kana:
3200 DPI
3600 frames per secnd
30G max acceleration
130 inches per second

DeathAdder:
3500 DPI
6400 frames per second
15G max acceleration
60-120 inches per second

MS 3.0:
800 DPI
9000 frames per second
25G max acceleration
54 inches per second

G400:
3600 DPI
6400 frames per second
25G max acceleration

I wonder have they seen the mouse when they say "low friction UPE Teflon feet on the base." or just copy paste from SS website. tongue.gif

Or, different Kana are coming to Malaysia compare to other countries laugh.gif
Because it's weird that SS mention that the original black Kinzu is using UPE Teflon as their feet.

On another note: anyone using the old Kinzu Red (w/different switch)?

but it kinda defeats the purpose of that wheel tongue.gif unless he is in love with the design of the wheel alone.
