In the end I tried it because i wanted to get rid of my pigmentation but then i got better and now it's back. From experience it is painful but bearable. My skin shed for a few days *like a snake* then it was clear but after a year, even with sunscreen and all my pigmentation came back. Not sure if I should go back or not because it's quite expensive, it's RM700 per session, still looking for a good doctor with a reasonable price. flex.gif

so far no side effects on me lah but I'm planning my 2nd trip after 1year, mmm skeptical about it due to the price but I found one doc in shah alam *which is kinda far* his price range is a lil bit cheaper, RM300-RM600. Will go in for a consultation and see how it goes but no pain no gain lah right? icon_rolleyes.gif

For acne scars Fractional CO2 Lasers works really good, you should do a search about it before going to the doctor blush.gif

I've seen the effects of lasers; not good and the pigmentation recurred. Laser is to slough off the top layer of the skin only. I believe it is effective for scars but not the deeper acne scars.

Good luck TS

Me too is facing the hyperpigmentation issue, it keeps growing, n once appeared, almost impossible to make it disappeared completely. I don't believe in laser, coz heard many horror story about laser, n also i believe majority cases like TS where the hyperpigmentation will grow back again.

Currently my skin is very sensitive, so certainly can't do any machine/laser treatment on my face coz it'll only make my skin condition worst. Have been thinking on taking collagen, but have to take it long term n it's expensive, n the results isn't guaranteed, so won't be taking this approach currently.

The other steps i'm thinking is consuming oral sun protection pills, u'll still get sunburn if u sengaja stand under the hot sun, so have to practice common sense n have to apply sunscreen too. I'm thinking, currently thinking whether wanna buy n eat or not. Either this brand http://heliocare.com or another brand is http://www.nutrex-hawaii.com/bioastin.

I really wish everyone who is going thru skin problem or any health problem can find a solution, coz the $ spent on products/c DR n the time used on worrying is really...hmm, how to say, worrying can really makes one lose hope on solution. Wish u good luck, TS. N do update if u find any good solution to hyperpigmentation.

Now, i am a beauty consultant, my job is to give free skin care lesson and makeup skills, those who interest can reply me or pm me smile.gif

Pigmentation is usually due to a few factors and usually mostly due to hormonal changes and also our ever hot blazing sun in our country.

By doing regular lasers (light based) it will help to keep it under control.

Fractional co2 helps with scars but scars usually you will need a combination of treatments to Work. Not easy to clear off scars especially when scar tissue is actually dead hardened tissue...

Can PM me if anyone needs more info wink.gif

Becareful with beauty centres that promise to you the world. there is no way they can have the expertise nor equipment to deal with pigmentation.

The public must be educated and informed about all procedures so that they don't walk into a beauty centre and get harmed by irresponsible people.

Ladies, try Mireica instead of going through laser and all. I've been taking and have seen great changes in my own skin. It helped my skin become brighter, smoother because it's good for repairing. It's a natural collagen drink with skin stem cell. rclxms.gif

So i drink it every morning smile.gif and i buy it from here http://www.plincco.com/Product/allProduct.aspx?cid=7&bid=3

I love my skinnnnnnn!

Dear all,

I just wanna share my experience about my acne scars. I'm an adult with post acne scars, on the face, a bit like the surface of the moon. Most box scars and a few ice picks scar. (these are types of scars, just google them to get a clearer picture).

I have had several consultation with doctors in UK as well as Malaysia. Here are some of the advice given by those doctors on the different types of treatment if I remembered them correctly.
1. Fillers - there are many types. Expensive and not so effective.
2. Skin peeling - of the most effective for scars. Laser - more accurate of the layers of skins you want to peel. But more expensive too. Chemical (using some types of acid) - cheaper version.
I have olive skin tone, and somehow the doctors in UK were reluctant to do any peeling (laser or chemical) for me for the fear of pigmentation ( the darker your skin, the more melanin you have, which leads to pigmentation). However when i came back to Penang, i took the risk and did a chemical peel. surprisingly, that skin doctor never mention anything about pigmentation, but did ask me not to be exposed to sun for a period of time during the treatment.
Result: Wish i had done the chemical peel ages ago. the layers of skin peeled meant my scars are 50% lighter now. I had 2 peels altogether, a few weeks apart from one another in that treatment. Cost me about RM1000. If i did laser, sure not so cheap.
If you are thinking or doing one:
1. go for consultations with A FEW SKIN DOCTORS. Sad to say, comparing my experience with the doctors in UK and Msia, I think the doctos here emphasize on $$$ more than safety of patient of intergrity. Therefore a few opinions are vital. You just have to fork out more $$ for consultation. (mostly charge RM50 per consultation)
2. Never never go to beauty saloon for a medical treatment.
3. If you have lots of ice picks scar, you might want to get them stitched first (a more effective treatment for ice-picks) and then after some time time have a peel.
Hope the above helps.

Agreed. That is why in The Retreat Clinic, we pride ourselves with our transparent, safe and professional services and consultation wink.gif

Stitching will probably cost you more since u will have to get skilled hands to do it.

A combination therapy is always better.

Glad you got good results from your peels

Hey, you don't have to go for laser. That will cause huge damage to your skin.
My friend actually has very big pigmentation on her both cheeks under the eyes. And recently I found that she pigmentation is so much lighter n i asked y. She told me that she is using a collagen facial soap from japan to wash the face and it just became lighter.
U can try to read their fb
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid...459003774447010

Somehow I think u better try a natural way to cure instead of laser ur face skin...
