Any way to make it not drop at all with Shiftguide? What position did you place the roller? 8 o'clock? I think I placed mine at 7 o'clock.

UMT Jamboree 2011
i must say Terengganu riders has low riding ethics
-you shout rider2 they look back and just smile at you until you scream "TEPI LAH!!!"
-stopping suddenly while downhill ( i crashed into a semak coz a dude stop suddenly coz wanna elak some rocks)
-going slowpoke on right lane haishhh

but the track was kinda 20KM road and 20KM offroad ok la for 1st time organizer

Well i'm myself a terengganu rider agree with u about their riding ethics but me myself always keep the right lane clear for other riders to pass since i'm slow climbing uphill but never slow going downhill.Btw i'm there too and saw your team but i don't know which is you smile.gif

I must say most of those ppl join for fun (1st timer) and never know about keeping right lane clear if u going slow and let other riders go pass. It's something that must be improve in the future.Me myself crash too coz of somebody suddenly brake and go down from bike while downhill.

Why not just crash into the bugger in the front that causes the crash in the 1st place?

When it is inevitable to go down, might as well as bring someone with you... LOL

There is still a glimmer of hope that you'll be able to ride though it... Over their fallen heads.

LOL

tongue.gif this is a Jamboree la ..not a race

Rider ethics:

This usually happens to inexperience riders....some might think being a jamboree people are chill out about it...but its not as it involves rider's safety ...

Dunno if you can blame them as no one really brief them before the race ( I ve been to 3 Jamboree all 3 didnt mention this before the race) ...its more common sense..the thing about common sense is ...its not common

A few main challenges faced during Jamboree:

1. Stopping abruptly (most dangerous as bikes got no brake lights)
2. Riding slowly on the right lane
3. Riding couples (riding together gether side by side)
4. Not giving way to riders
5. 'Rider rider' call on a single track...this is also an issue...even if you are fast ...you cant expect people to give way when there is no space to move
6. Cutting and weaving through traffic...dangerous because not all riders are experiance to avoid you (remember ini jamboree not race)
7. Stopping near a downhill section...really dangerous ....

But I think it helps by not shouting la.....help educate the newbies..as its a Jamboree..its more for gathering of riders ...not a race

rule of thumb
clear calling, courtesy overtaking, courtesy being overtaken, and always safety first...
