Want to ask, I applied for the CIDB ( green card ) training late ( had to go to the HQ to apply ). So do I do the training in the location they specified or in Uniten?

just get a copy of the CIDB form from COE admin (Miss Dhiya if not mistaken)) at BN GF and just go to any slot and pass the filled form together with RM50++ note (dont remember how much the fee) and ur nerd photo to the speaker, tell him u forgot to register earlier. he dont mind bout it, but u'll receive the card about a month later instead of receiving it by end of the course. i did this way bcoz i didnt plan to do intern with construction company at first.

actually this green card is important only if u r going to do intern at construction site or involve with any contractor work. if u just going to do intern at a factory doing design or manufacturing stuffs, then u dont need it i think. becoz no  one will ask if u have the green card, unless u r going to enter construction field.

No difference this semester. There're 4 sections altogether. Bashir will be in charge of all 4 sections the first 7 weeks, the last 7 weeks will be handled by Faris.

To be honest, I don't find his lectures useful at all. I too could get a textbook and read it to myself

i wanted to ask some question regarding the fees that we'll need to pay once we finished our foundation and pursuing for degree in uniten, do we still need to pay the registration fees of cost RM1000++?

It's about time I get started, 7 weeks left yo.

Well, it's not exactly the same.
Last semester's students did a wind turbine. Whereas this semester, we're given a motor and an electric generator. We're required to increase the output of the motor 3 times before connecting it to the generator by means of a gear system.

Why is COE damn messed up?

I've got Measurements Project to do, i need to measure fan rpm, voltage and current of my circuit.
So, i need a tachometer, and 2 multimeters only for about 10-15 minutes to take readings.

Being an ME student, i visited the Thermofluids lab only to find out that they only have 1, ONE tachometer! And to make it worse, i need approval to use that, despite only for 10 minutes with the technician supervising.

That's still acceptable, the messed up part is when I went to Circuits lab in BL 2nd floor to borrow multimeters. Apparently i need "special" approval from the ME department to use tools in the circuits lab because I'm not an EE/EP student. Come on lah Uniten, wtfark is this shit man?

And the technician in the Thermofluids lab, damn fukken kurang ajar wei. The only reason i didn't yell back is because i needed the damn tachometer. Dammit, buck up Uniten.

That's what i wanted to do, but the technician didn't allow me to.
The measurements lab technician is okay, she's lending me 2 multimeters to use, on the spot.
The irritating one is the guy in the thermofluids lab :shahekead:

Added on November 16, 2011, 3:17 pmLol now when I have all the legal paperwork to use the labs, both labs are locked. The measurements lab technician is in the Cfd lab, too fukken lazy to get her fat ass down, and the thermo fluids lab technician is nowhere to be found.

All I need are 2 multimeters and 1 tachometer for 5 friggin minutes yo.
I wanna lodge a complain, who should I see regarding this issue?

I'll be doing my industrial training the following semester, in May.
Will be taking all my required subjects next semester, according to the handbook

Did you get placement? Mind telling me where will you be doing your industrial training?
