Why would you want to buy a used kapok guitar when you can buy a new one for around RM120. (or maybe less)

Coz new 42" is rm299. Used is rm50 or less

Which New 42" are you talking about? Can you post the model no or maybe the photo here? Or are you referring to the Kapok cutaway model?

I bought a Kapok very recently
RM110
It is pretty small. Slightly smaller than a standard classical guitar.
It has the usual classical guitar design but came with steel strings and has a strap button which is kinda weird!

The strings are the very lightest type. I think the 010 type.
What I did was change the last 2 strings (B, high E) to good quality 012 gauge strings and kept the other 4 original kapok strings.
What I can tell you is it sounds marvelous
Kapok thin plywood is super resonating and I don't feel like playing my "proper" dreadnought guitar anymore.
I think cheap doesn't mean bad. If you can tune it nicely and play it nicely of course.
My solid top dreadnought was much more expensive but sounds pretty dull compared to this cheapo Kapok.
Regret buying a more expensive guitar when a cheap one sounds better!
I think it can give the Yamaha APX series a good run for the money, except that it doesnt have electronics

This Kapok is great for fingerstyle because of its wide fretboard and it gives really loud ringing trebles.
If you strum it hard with a flatpick, you may need to wear ear plugs to protect your ears!

As some people have mentioned, it does not have a truss rod (some metal rod in the neck to adjust the straightness of the neck)
So, the action is high (long distance between the string and fretboard, hence you need to press hard)

I think it will be painful for beginners to play this guitar with steel strings.

If you use a Capo, you can make it much easier to play
But some Capo may not fit the super thick neck

If you are an absolute beginner, and if you can afford something slightly more expensive, better to buy a proper acoustic guitar which is easier to play.

It is still fun to own this guitar because this is the type of guitar most people in Malaysia learnt how to play 20-25 years ago!
Best is to use this Kapok to outplay those people who carry Taylors and >RM1000 branded guitars but tak tahu main
