I just brought my Persona to service center last week. The mechanics told me that my car front brake pad only left 25%. I was shock because my car is bought less than one year ago. My car brake pad is original from manufacture. And I always found my car rims are full of dirt although i washed my car every week. Is it the brake pad which cause the dirt on the rim? And what is the problem that i always hear my brake generate screeching sound?

Is it possible that my brake pad wear out so fast? And may I know what is the problem with the stock pads as stated in first thread? The stock pad is not ceramic pad?

Where possible proton give you such a good pad. Stock pad nth wrong except its too spongy feel like when you want the brake it isn't giving you the brake you wanted. Unless you always jam brake from 100kmh to slow down then might probably will happen. How much is your mileage anyway?

Change better brake pad,...original sux
Got few type to chose from bendix metal king titanium, Trestor Advantage blue, or Rapid Stop or Ceramic Pad. (Note that this kind of pad may have some slightly sound when slow braking.)

I just called up Proton SC about changing a new pair of front pads. They say it will cost rm310. And it is the original from proton. They said that it is true that the ori pad is a little bit soft but it has the purpose of causing less harm to the brake disc and using hard pad will cause damage to the disc although they give more braking power. And they said that the warranty will be voided if i m not using certified pad from proton. Is that true?
