QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 11 2011, 01:54 PM) I rolled down Genting straight after the rain stopped. Visibility is around 10-15m at peak. After the temple hairpin, it gets way better but road is slippery. Haiz. Drive safe man. Saw so many accidents now.

I nearly kena also yesterday when climbing up. Extreme understeer usually happen when ur tyre no thread/road damn wet.. My car also understeered a bit last nite.. but it was the sliding-while-braking type of understeer..

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 11 2011, 02:15 PM) don't know. The service interval proton till now also dint reply me yet. WHen first service I want straight go Shah Alam to clarify everything already. Currently clocking around 34x km. some member at saga thread records 100km/h @ 2400 rpm. mine, slightly above 2,500rpm because I have a lead foot. All I can say is, it is good for highway, acceptable for city drive and horrible for touge. CVT & touge doesnt go along well lah.. For me if wan an enjoyable drive, manual is always the way to go.. 2.4k RPM at 100 KM/h not bad ah..

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 11 2011, 02:44 PM) that paultan when test that car pijak so much throttle, thats why rpm jump very high. Furthermore, a lot people thinks that high rpm is co-related with high speed due to the nature of conventional auto/manual transmission cars, but that's not the case for CVT. dun wan up genting can ah? lol a bit lazy. =\ Can.. But we're not hanging around for long.. Cos the main event is Genting.. This post has been edited by xandras: Sep 11 2011, 02:51 PM

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 11 2011, 02:49 PM) on straits, not much effect. Just to make ur eyes to "lie" to your brain indicating that your car is building up speed at low rpm. But on hills, the SAT will just stay on high rpm, which is useful in order to achieve peak torque. cant tapau la. You guys punya persona also has more power and coupled with the AT gearbox which loves to drop gear whenever the throttle was nailed, dont think can smoke. haha The AT gearbox in persona suffers from heavy transmission lost, the heaviest I've seen in any auto cars to date. Torque wise it's fine. AT Persona makes around 110 HP on crank, but only down to 75 on wheel. That's about 30+% transmission loss. As a benchmark to compare with, the manual Persona makes around ~90 plus WHP, can't remember the exact figure but it's around there.

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Sep 11 2011, 08:02 PM) If compared with you guys de more superior PE, of coz sampan lo. But if want compare with other beam suspension cars like the lagi best and that lagi best older generation, I am sure both of them lagi sampan. That's the limitation of beam suspension. Nothing much can be done to further improve the handling without sacrificing the ride comfort. Right now I am saving $ for front strut bar and other handling enhancements. just be careful with ur strut bar.. Dun install too thick.. Later lower arm koyak..
