this one...i heard be4
some say is true...some say is a fraud
for me..it looks more like a fraud....reason?..cuz its too good to be true
cuz u die has nothing to do with the car....
usually if u die/disabled, insurance that u bought will pay u right?
and u have to pay that insurance "Monthly"
and from what i know...this extra insurance thingy is a RM300 "1 go" which is kinda ridiculous
*
I might have a car crash and die =.=..
anyway this insurance insure the full payment of the car.. I know people have life insurance with pay u to use .. well read the black and white and u can either reject or approve it smile.gif.. no harm

Insurance is always good but not if it is forced to buy! I don't understand what gives them the right to force us to buy!

Hey u loan from bank to buy car. Did u pay cash at once ? The bank loan you the money, u have to buy insurance to cover their ass, if anything happen to the car they wouldn't suffer mass loss.
So win won situation, you WAN borrow money, you have to listen , cuz bank won since u apply loan before getting the loan.

If u have the time/energy, u can shop around for a better insurance company. There is nothing in the loan contract that says u MUST follow wadever insurance agency they recommend. Correct me if i m wrong.

This one, the Ambank force me to buy the insurance as if bundle! Wth!

They (Ambank) should be more professional and spell out the terms and conditions for their loan and not just unilaterally force me to buy! Insurance cannot be forced!

that's what i say...u "might" die..*touch wood*
and u have to know that bank ALWAYS win...which mean they always earn money, they never loss one
which also mean that they won't just fork out money, pay for your loan and give it to u for free
and somemore that "insurance" is 1 go unlike normal insurance that u have to pay monthly
so it's kinda unreasonable bank would do that
RM300(1-go) and u die and the car is free...too good to be true
so for me....kinda fake but my relative got buy for her myvi and my other aunt is kinda skeptical abt it too

well..the previous GB have the infamous spring problem
the new one should not have that problem since it's from another company
and cruising RPM for 100KM/H on new GB = to 90KM/H on new GB

No la, it's the same as paying RM 150 annually for a medical card which insures you up to RM20k of hospitalization fees every year.

Insurance companies earn money by investing the premiums the policyholders pay (which is a shitload of money), and hope that none of their policyholder claim the money. Their actuaries have crunched the numbers many times before coming up with the RM300 figure.

It is legally not a fraud, but you must be very careful with the fine print.

well..like u said...at least medical car is "annually or monthly"...it's never a 1 go right?
and somemore u WON'T use all of that 20k fee every year which is why they dare to offer u 20k
and prudential offer me medical card as well..RM100 monthly...so its RM1200 per year
more than RM300 for 5-9 years
if like that thn i take 9 year loan for 200k car...slowly pay it....1-2 year...something unfortunate happen
the car is free??....like that bank rugi...and u have to know bank NEVER rugi
so yeah..have to read that policy very carefully

Eh...the car insurance policy last for one year only ma right? means the coverage for death (rm300) is also in force only for one year gua?

Else next year you change other insurance company they also cover your death meh?

This is such a macabre discussion...it's like after I die from car accident, my family will go "YES! got free car!" rclxms.gif

Juz common sense & general advice:

Alwaz read & understand contents of anything you sign... icon_rolleyes.gif

Will not hold water if one later says one did not know nor understand contents cos there's always a clause that states... "I have read & understood...." b4 yr signature. Correct? whistling.gif

If like that then yea it makes little sense. My impression was that the death coverage is simply a rider with the car insurance policy that will expire at the same time.

I think we can agree you should consult your agent or lawyer if you have any doubts.

If u r proceeding to buy flx with same bank that u apply to buy fl , they will not re-process your loan instead they just go along with the previous loan.

1. Because of different car value, u need pay extra insurance coverage due to flx value is higher and you cant insured for
lower market value.

2.Flx insured value is higher than fl

3.Flx recognized as saga fl in jpj and bank loan process, therefore sa can just claim with bank say u r buying fl but actually they pursueing you to buy flx without leaving you any choices.

How much you paid for d/p, did they ask you to top up?
If that the case , definitely they are proceeding with previous loan.
To avoid all this mark up insurance and etc, i advise you to re-apply your loan with other bank if you are not in hurry. Try maybank instead, they have interesting interest rate.

Or cancel your buying process, send a letter to HQ claiming this branch try to con you if you are so free to do so. But i cant guarantee you are getting back your booking. Put some pressure on the branch and sa. Threat him you are bringing this to consumer faculty.

Hi all,

Saga FLX

I just went to apply for loan not having sign anything up yet. I want to know which is better color to choose from? Genetic Silver or Elegant Brown or Solid White?

I'm all good with the car, test drive the car it was simply great for my budget. Economic and have a larger space compare to Viva.

what colour depends on your liking
but recommend u to get metallic colour if you're lazy to wax the car regularly

Left me with 2 options...

As I haven't see anyone yet with Elegant Brown... But Genetic Silver is a much common color among other proton cars as well.

Will be Elegant brown a good choice as it is also the trademark color for their new Saga FLX. I wonder tongue.gif blink.gif smile.gif

looks good but is your back also disc brake?
like someone quoted earlier, if your back is drum brake, then it might not look nice since the rims have wide space in between them.. smile.gif

just my opinion.. try ask others...

How much you paid for d/p, did they ask you to top up?

to answer all the above, I had to top up. As the loan documents all signed already. After all this signed and supposed to register car, the SA say Ambank is demanding I pay Rm300 for a one time insurance called "Autolife". This is what tripped my fuse. I had been very very patient till this stage. But now I feel blackmailed by Ambank to buy this insurance. I have always believed insurance should be voluntary, not force fed like this. So now I have sent a complaint to both Ambank Hq and Bnm for this unprofessional conduct and abuse of position.

If that the case , definitely they are proceeding with previous loan.
To avoid all this mark up insurance and etc, i advise you to re-apply your loan with other bank if you are not in hurry. Try maybank instead, they have interesting interest rate.
