all suspension has better flexibility, hence lesser body roll which affects the handling.

or add front strut bar will do so?

My FLX already 13 days old and the total mileage as of now is 802km.

Fastest I've go? 140km/h. Highest RPM I've rev? 4,200 rpm.

Nothing major happen yet. Nothing is disintegrating yet. No weird noises or whatsoever funny stuff. smile.gif

See his answer you'll know edi.

Proton quoted the springs to be 20-30% stiffer than the BLM/FL

While the front antiroll bar is 21mm, unlike the FL/BLM's 19mm. Heck, even the UR ones are 19mm.

Okay, here's a mini review on the FLX after my drive to S'pore. I am still there, going back to KL on Monday.

Because the engine haven't run in yet, I have to keep looking at speedo. The car is very easy to reach 110kmph without much effort. My average speed is 90-110.

I love the firm suspension especially going over bumps. Some cars when going over "botak" roads (ie roads with the tar surface gone) will be very noisy. Surprisingly FLX's road noise is minimal, feels like a car with 1.8L engine. I think the Goodyear tyres are a good choice by Proton although I am wondering if Dunlop will be even quieter as I have experienced those tyres before. Road holding is also exceptionally good esp when taking corners.

Driving long distance with the car is very comfortable because of the smooth ride. It's hard to imagine this is only a 1.3L car. I am glad I did not wait for 1.6L as I need the car NOW and this 1.3 model satisfies my need especially that I prefer fuel economy vs speed. Those who want speed may wanna wait for 1.6 though.

The steering wheel cannot be used in the "high" position cos that would block your view of the speedometers etc. I put it at lowest position but arms also get a bit tired at that angle after awhile. Would be good if future models have foldable arm rests like what I had in my previous Estima MPV.

The seat is also quite high (I guess to accommodate shorter people) so I had to lower it down otherwise my head will be almost touching the top.

Some ppl envy the Maivee's speedo design but I think the FLX is sufficient. I don't care much about the meters looking nice like Christmas tree as "ride comfort" is my top priority. Maivee driven over long distance can be uncomfortable and noisier which is common for hatchbacks. The hatch rattles quite a bit and get worse over the years.

About the sound system... (to be contd)....

VS wont help for new car.

Same goes to grounding cables.

Those who got new cars and say VS got help are experiencing a severe case of Placebo Effect.

Drag effect fr a/c kick-in mainly caused by a/c magnetic clutch engagement...load on engine. This is very obvious in a small/low power engine trying to drive a high power a/c compressor. So a VS does not help here.

However, if the drag is due2 the drain in electrical supply operating the a/c clutch, there is a possible reduction if the VS capacitance value is HIGH enuf to overcome the drain... rolleyes.gif

ps. my little knowledge fr little personal experience nia.  tongue.gif

err... i forgot to take a look... huhu... hurm... tomorrow before my training if i remember i'll go and see the brand...

Hurm.. and just sharing, since its allowed to share CVT FC

my FC until now (have not done first service and will do it tomorrow at SC seri iskandar)

1) 11.24km/L
2) 13.89km/L
3) 15.15KM/L

my driving style, i drive up to 90km/h and occasionally speed up to max around 150-160km/h.. i noticed the the RPM wont exceed a certain amount, forgot the number.. and the speed also...

Does FLX also have rpm and speed cut? if yes, any sifu's know how to and the price of removing this limiter?

owh, and by the way, using shell ron 95

15.15km/L is full highway drive?

My normal spark plug adi last for 38k, still running strong and FC not affected. City drive is about 13-14km/L and highway 16-17km/L.

So change every 10k km is just non sense, trust me. wink.gif

Anyway, Denso Iridium is just a nice item to have, enjoy it. smile.gif

100-110km/h, manual. wink.gif

Added on September 21, 2011, 10:54 pm

No one will do this.

My way, if the spark plug needed changing, see ur FC and engine vibration during idle will do.
*
my manual seem cannot do this results?
everytime i run highway avg 14 15km/L only
speed 110-140kmh
