An Update re question abt OEM ABL asked earlier in thread re :

"Does the Alarm Reset Button still work to reset the alarm when it's triggered & sounds?"

Answer :

Yup, it does! thumbup.gif

Juz tested it earlier while doing my DIY LED boot lights. UNintentionally tho. Accidentally pressed the Panic Button on my remote.
Alarm sounded. sweat.gif
Put key into ignition. On ignition. Pressed Reset Button.
Alarm deactivated! rclxms.gif

For first service its 1000km only doesn't matter how long the age of car?
*
Officially it's either Xk Km / X mths whichever comes first or is earlier. This is in T&C of car warranty.

Most users wld go by Xk Km as long as the mths do NOT vary by too much. So can b earlier abit or later abit.

NB. Alwaz RTFM on car delivery... brows.gif

UPdate : DIY punya LED Boot Lights emit very bright & warm glow! Tested 2C juz now when dark oledi.

Sorry, din get to that stripe yet. rolleyes.gif

Took some time to learn how to cut away the top of stripe to expose the LED terminals...then tried solder the stripe for room/cabin light. Slow cos not wanna damage anything lo.
Also found space in room lamp kinda small to fit in many LEDs. sweat.gif

Hi there,

I've been driving FLX from Shah Alam to Damansara everyday since last month (for work), using Federal highway. So far there's no problem facing the traffic jams, plus having a pretty comfortable car didn't make the journey very tiresome and long. The jerks happened here and there but I don't think it'll affect the safety of your ride. thumbup.gif

Yup, juz need to get used to car nia... smile.gif

Cars, in their own ways, are like ppl, too. Juz need to know their characteristics, behaviour, etc, then can get along with them well & fine liao.
Driving is a skill & everlasting experience...if yu are patient & feel yr way around...

Enjoy yr rides, guys!! rclxms.gif thumbup.gif

hey guys ! gonna send my baby saga blm for 76.4k service adi... wanna ask what engine oil is the best for saga blm... sorry if i repeated the same old question again but this is just to confirm. thanks ! (REPLY ME PLEASE !)
*
"Best" oil? Meaning?

If in terms of viscosity, then "officially" most SCs use 10W40. It appears recent amendments to User Manual states 10W30.

Pls chk yr copy of the User Manual for the viscosity rating for yr model.

Normally choice of viscosity is based on ambient temp of country.

Type? Most SCs use Semi-Synthetic. If yu can afford it, yu can go for Fully-Synthetic oils.

"Best" oil Brand? Subject to yr pocket! The sky can be the limit here! Or yu can follow suggestions in an earlier posted reply 2yr question. rclxm9.gif

Technically, many wld call "overspending" on "high end" oils "overkill".
YOUR Decision... whistling.gif

The lack of info about SAT mode in the internet is due to the short media test drives which normally held at Proton's own test track where there's only some flat roads and the speed limit is only 40-60km/h. There is no uphill or downhill slopes which enables the media to further test the SAT mode. What you said is true, if it is from the media point of view.

From an owner's point of view, the SAT button does more than just a "up/down shift stimulation" button.

Nothing can beat True, First-hand experience. Period.

BTW I read somewhere that blue LED lights are harmful. Google for more info.
*
Update :
Yup, Googled. Read thru 6 links.

Blue light ( not necessarily fr LEDs) MAY cause possible damage to eyes (esp of kids) & cause sleep probs...BUT only if high intensity, glaring & one stares at it...

Moreover, blue LEDs/light is practically everywhere!

Now with increasing popularity of Flat Screen/LED TVs, it's right in front of us!

Even white LEDs work based on Blue LEDs & also emit Blue light! So it's almost impossible to avoid Blue light!

One website even mentioned even the SKY is BLUE! haha!

Feel, as in Life, we kenot avoid dev & progress. And in this case, juz dun stare at bright Blue LEDs/light...safe enuf. icon_rolleyes.gif

ps. Blue Display on Digi Voltmeter not glaring nor intense. Morever, we dun need 2stare at it, rite? Juz glance? rolleyes.gif

Yup, F1 finally came to town! After Spore...haha! rclxms.gif
Juz couldn't sit around...so got down to DIY install the triangular F1 Blinking Red LEDs Brake Lamp.

The hardest part was finding a route for the wires to go down from the Rear Lamp cluster to the lower part of the Rear Bumper. Once that was solved, it was a straightforward DIY.

Electrical connections are the same as for OEM ABL ie a tap into the Rear Brake Lamp power signal cable while the other was grounded to one of the nuts at the back of the Rear Lamp.
Decided to use the RHS Rear Lamp this time around...the LHS lamp connection was used for ABL. icon_idea.gif

Well, let's see if me can sit still 2moro...hehe... tongue.gif

NB. F1 LED Brake Lamp courtesy of Bro Sh@rty 5...came in my recent box of goodies! Tks a meg, Bro! thumbup.gif notworthy.gif
