OMG... just now my FLX give me a shock of my life.

I was turning into Kampung pandan (Aminuddin Baki) and suddenly the CVT Warning light comes on!!!!!!!!! OMFGGGG!!!! The gearbox is like just jammed at 1,800rpm and the speed just stay at constant 40km/h. No matter how much throttle input, the speed and rpm just wont raise. Stopped by roadside and turn off engine a while then start back. Warning light gone and got home safely without any unwanted incidents.

WTFLAH... second heart attack

was getting ready to bath suddenly smelled something funny, then heard some commotion outside my house (apartment) and BOMBA sirens blaring loudly. Go out check, one of the neighbour's unit at ground floor is emitting smokes.

I thought my FLX burst into flame or something.

the car only makes a measly 90bhp and by the time it reaches the wheel, it will only left around 6x-7x hp (depending on the transmission). What is there to cut? lol

The higher hp a car has, the higher top speed the car could reach and stay at.

The hp of the Saga itself is the top speed limiter. lol

auto or manual?

coz if install LCP, have to jaga rpm especially uphill coz rpm will drop drastically if shifting not perfect.

auto ah. lol
either the result will be good (i doubt) or it will turn catastrophic.

if you want more hp, then I dont think changing LCP alone is sufficient. Have to think broader edi, like change whole set exhaust set, BOT, remap/ install better ECU, port & polish, etc.

But dont forget about handling and braking system too. Since no ABS and EBD, better convert to 4 disc brake too.

Today at that Cheras highway heading towards Federal Highway, one Hilux and Camry go keep on brake like no tomorrow when approaching the "abandoned" Cheras Toll Plaza. KNNCCB, if drive big car but cant budget the width better covert back to Kancil only lah. . I use an empty toll lane, straight floor my throttle and overtake them at an opening between the Hilux and Camry after exit the toll booth.

teach me how to oversteer a FF car, pls.

there's only understeer for FF cars.

how to solve? Know the limit of the car and understand the road you're traveling on lo. Simple.

hard cornering too much after installing those bars also not good lah, without strengthening the chassis or do spot welding.

sooner later chassis will bengkok. coz body flex too much.

my opinion, malaysia should add defensive driving in driving school curriculum too. The 2 second rule isn't enough. Should know how to anticipate and avoid dangers caused by other people's bad driving.

ABS is the perfect example. Many cars nowadays already equipped with ABS but not many driver know how to use it properly.

this is where everyone gets it wrong.

It is called "Anti-lock" for a reason. In an event of emergency braking, ABS will prevent wheels from locking up and allows the driver to steer the car out of danger. Merely stomping on the brake pedal and let the system do the job is more like EBD's job.

For the FLX, when you lift off your foot from throttle pedal, the gearbox will automatically do engine braking one. Unlike auto where the speed remains constant, CVT will gradually lower the speed. Therefore I rarely brakes. Most of the time, I off throttle when slowing down. I only brake when reaching standstill or when I sense obstacle/situation ahead.

Go to service center, got quoted RM450 to replace the whole damn thing.
Now I finding left side side mirror then DIY sendiri replace the plastic piece which broken. Lucky the lamp inside still working

yup, baru check neighbour's Person elegance. Side mirrors are the same model, especially that cracked plastic housing.

Gonna buy one cheap cheap manual adjustable one then DIY replace that cracked plastic housing.
