finally got squeezed to his nearest requirement of $14.

The NFP doesnt' seem to affect the futures violently? Perhaps after market opens?

Best way to is open a direct trading account (online) from the US brokerages: MBtrading, TDA, Option Express, Scott Trade, etc...

I like TDA (Best tool), Mbtrading (cheapest commissions), Scott trade Options.. laugh.gif

It's easier to trade if we are using a direct trading account especially the ones u have listed.. but I wonder, how much difference will it be if we use local online trading facilities (in terms of brokerage rate).. such as HLeB, m2u, Jupiter, any idea? If I am not mistaken, local trading platform doesn't allow us to to buy "put", spread, short n etc.. Other than that any major downside (Put aside the awesome features rolleyes.gif )?

US brokerage such as Option Express is nice but transferring funds are a bit leceh... I have juz opened HLeB acc, so thinking of using it to trade in US market as well...

No sure about how the local brokerages like HLeB, m2u and Jupiter works now for trading US stocks.. but in the past (you can search from v1.. v4), there were people who reported that they face issues like expensive fees (kena twice, one local+one foreign), slow execution and limited trading (can't short, no margin) capability.

Options required you to have $25k margin or higher. Most local platforms don't have good exchanges that can interface directly with CBOE Exchange for the speed. Better use Option Express or some other US brokerages for direct access. Even options also have different access level. Diff level must have different margin account because options are highly risky.

Also, in a today fast market, one must not use local broker that depends on human remisier to do any US stock trading.. this is bad choice.

It takes time to setup US account. Don't wait till last minute and expect to send application and expect acct to be setup immediately for trading.
Start early, plan the process, and you can save a lot money (especially remitting funds via snail mail).
Never be in hurry to trade.. the market is always here. Good luck!

Apple is trying to break that downtrend line 2nd time with rather low volume.
Can it succeed?
I'm looking for opportunity to buy in my 2nd batch. hmm.gif

I would not chase. That's why I sell PUTs. If I don't get it, that's ok, I keep the credits.

The major catalyst would be China Mobile deal with cheaper iphone. If that one success, high chance super bull. shocking.gif
Anyway, I agree with you to stay cautious for now. Monitoring closely perhaps. My major concern is actually not Apple, but the overall market as SP500 is now 170x high high. sweat.gif
