Hello guys, does anyone have a rough estimate for building a concrete fence around the compounds of my ancient Semi D? All 4 sides and no pillars, no designs, just an entire stretch of cement brick wall. My land dimensions are a stupid 45' x 175' rectangle. Wall around 6 feet tall. Thanks!

I was quoted 35k and was wondering if that is reasonable?

Yeah actually house itself is very small. Just that the land is big. Its an old house. Land shape is pretty stupid though. Way too long.

What does the RM35k include?

Painting, wall skimming?

If you don't have an existing wall, your contractor may have factored in building footing and ground beam to ensure wall does not sink & crack.

Check with the contractor the full extent of work. Would give you and idea if cost is justified. Hope that helps.

According to MBPJ requirements, it's about 5ft but 6ft should be safe. With regards to opening requirement you can check with your local council.

If you want a solid wall, it's a possibility just check whether you can submit engineer drawing for it.

There was some article of fencing in newspaper couple of weeks ago. My mom told me. She warm me about it, better don't make too high cause neighbor can complain and you need to chop it lower. So better check with local council.
