I know this topic is useless, but I think some of you might be interested to know if your laptops can support Battlefield 3...like me!


So, there's a Battlefield 3 Pre-Alpha gameplay video in Operation Metro being recorded on a Acer 5750G with specs Core i5 2410m, GT540M 1gb, 8gb ddr3.


Game Settings (its in the video, he clicked graphics options, can see few settings only):
Resolution = 1366x768, 60Hz
Graphics Settings = Auto
Fullscreen = On


I think graphic settings got 5 options: Low, Medium, High, Ultra, Auto

In the video, the average frame rate is 30 - 40 FPS, lowest recorded framerate is 29. Highest is 62.








hmm...should i buy Battlefield 3??? (yes, this is my main objective of this thread )

must buy game of the year.

But i scared if the framerate drops suddenly from 50 to 30, it will lag....

if lag, then i will regret forever, cause once i buy Battlefield 3, i really cant buy Modern Warfare 3 anymore

The video look pretty smooth and beautiful to me. Wait for the demo for you to try.

IMO, without a proper driver even HD6990 is useless.

Before this, they say Battlefield Beta will be released on 10 September 2011...but until now, still no news on Open Beta....cant wait man

Got open beta? I thought Beta>Demo>Release.
I don't mind a slight delay if the netcode is optimize.

My graphics chip is only a GT335M and I pre-ordered anyway. Don't care if I can't play on any setting but low, I just want the game. That's what a true gamer is all about. Getting to play the game. All other details are secondary.

Hmm, people say running Battlefield 3 on the lowest settings will look more beautiful than MW3 on maximum settings.


Maybe i should buy, cause on consoles (PS3 xbox360), Battlefield 3 is only running at 30FPS...so i think 30FPS is no problem

Just buy it. I don't have much hope for console games in terms of FPS.

Looks good hmm.. As long as you can play BFBC2 surely BF3 can since it's said to be much better optimised than BFBC2..

I am the Alpha-Stage invited player myself, and be no worry. Those game in the alpha stage is till poorly optimized.

Dual GPU setup is not working, frequent GPU Driver crash etc. If you are serious in knowing the performance of BF3, wait for the Beta. Then you can know the rough achievement by using your system.

Open beta expected to be this month.

Better be an extra alert for the limited Beta key!

Check at TSB. RM139.99 if I am not mistaken.
