First highway trip for the car....to Seremban only tongue.gif
Damn easy to hit 150 - 160 km/h. With the CVT, 150km/h only at 3000rpm. But I really got to get proper balancing done for the tyres. It should be awesome then.
Oh btw, my itchy feet couldnt tahan and I tiong a Lancer...hahaha. One mid-age uncle driving it. After he moved aside, he gave me a stare tongue.gif I hope he's not a policeman...hehe

yea, got ready stock, its a good car.

after 1 year of struggling , me a basher decided to get it, how ironic, lol. seriously my complain is the logo on the steering is so ugly, the ori 3 diamond chrome on steering is seriously cool.
*
Seriously dude...it's worth it. After driving a Wira and a Waja for the past 11 yrs... I was reluctant to get another Proton. After driving the Inspira, I decided to get it. Save the extra cash and invest it elsewhere 

Yeah I agree....this unlike any other Proton, the logo is deceiving...thats why some if not most of the Lancer owner is pissed off at the Inspira, btw the 2.0 inspira is almost identical with the Lancer EX...

Have a look at it here.. http://paultan.org/2010/07/16/mitsubishi-l...kind-of-lancer/

Minus the LCD HU & keyless entry/start-stop function only... biggrin.gif

Inspira gains the magnesium paddle shifters compared to the Lancer EX 
When I was shopping around for a car, the Mitsu SA in Bangsar offered a 9k discount for the Lancer EX...still abt 20k more than the Inspira.

Do you mean that the Mitsu's paddle shift is not megnesium? What are they? Plastic like honda city?
*
Lancer GT has the magnesium paddle shifters. The Lancer EX does not have any paddle shifters.

I did, but just honda city's. As I mentioned, Honda City's is plastic. But it looked solid. Inspira is magnesium, and for me, due to it's color, it looked like filmsy. But that is just my taste, my thoughts. No offense. I am getting 2.0p as well heeheeh
*
Haha...wait till u get your car. You will like the feel of the cold magnesium shifters...waiting to be used.
I only use it to do a bit of overtaking. It's got a nice feel to it.

my personal pref... huhuhu

Rubz77... no wonderlah lancers and other f*ckes cannot tahan to give me highbeam on right lane even when i'm going 180... you lah go kacau them...hahahha... then they take it on me.... T_T...
*
Hahahahaha tongue.gif
That Lancer guy was doin 110km/h on the fast lane when the inner two lanes were empty. I flashed oso he didnt give way. So had to kasi tiong sikit.

No, the existing armrest is same as lancer and cannot be adjusted. There is someone selling a double layered version with sliding function at abt rm280 if i'm not mistaken..

And whats your point trolling into this thread and posting a pointless comment?  He was just sharing his driving experience... He did not say Inspira was faster than a lancer or mention his was a sports car.. Were u one of those butthurt by a proton?
*
Ignore that fella la chief. Empty cans make a lot noise tongue.gif
Thanks anyway...cheers

Demm...Rubs...only 110 is not tiong la...that's so turtle slow to even consider as overtaking!!!... sheeshh...
(110 should be on the most leftside lane! - 120 middle lane - above 130 right lane! BARU BETUL!
*
hehe...i was cruising at 150km/h - 160km/h....suddenly this uncle on the fast lane didn't wanna move aside. I flashed from 30m away oso he didnt budge.

Anyways..u guys know any good tyre balancing shops around PJ or KL ? I remember someone mentioned a place in Paramount Garden, opposite the post office...hmmm

My usual alignment/balancing guy balik his hometown in Alor Setar and set up his own shop there. He was good with his work...now need to find another place sad.gif

Damn...painful.
I've got few scratches on my car too...not deep though. Can't help it when in a office car park or at the mall car parks.
In fact, the tip of my rear bumper, left side just below the lights, is sticking out a bit. I suspect somebody gave my car a light kiss in the car park. Can push it back but pops out after a while 

greetings guys, my parents are planning to get an inspira 2.0. can i know which showroom offers the best offer ? is the 5 yrs warranty promotion still on ? which showroom can i get the car fast?

thanks in advance guys.
*
Shop around and see who gives the best deals. Usually authorized dealers give better discounts but some of them can be dodgy. I got mine at the Jalan 222, PJ EON Branch. The SA, Mr. Maran, was very efficient. He's got loads of customers.
Best thing is to visit a few showrooms and compare.

Yup...iPhone's Bluetooth works with the HU. I've streamed MP3s with it too.
Only thing is when I use the HU to answer or make calls, the other person can't quite hear me...apparently it sounds like I'm talking from a distance

Set higher your volume while in the midst of the call (mine is at 25) and the HU will remember this for each call.... and it will auto soften to the volume when back to radio / CD / MP3...

Alternatively, bend closer to the HU mic (its the hole at the bottom left of the HU) la.... whistling.gif whistling.gif

I see....ok will try that out...thanks

Haha...it'll sure look weird if i were to bend close to the HU everytime there's a call sweat.gif

You may want to try those garages in Sunway, where do all the mods. A friend of mine told me that a lot of Inspiras change their bumpers to LGT and Evo X at those places. So the garages may have Inspira bumpers which they may sell for cheap. Its a long shot but worth the try, no ?

Precisely... small car is lighter, chassis softer, somehow the NVH is of diff class no matter how many layers of dynamat they put in, UR they install or coilevers they change. Chassis is the main basis to begin with. Waja had a superb chassis that many jap cars still fail to emulate.
*
I couldn't agree more...theWaja's chasis is fantastic. I really enjoyed the way it handled...that solid feel on the highways and around the bends. In fact having driven the Waja and now the Inspira, I prefer the Waja's ride & handling. Inspira is more refined though. No regrets 

Actually, my Savvy R&H is better than Inspira also...haha...small car, solid chassis and strong High tsellation steel (thicker than Waja!)....Proton car really shines in R&H....Jap car R&H really no match for Proton....But no regrets also, Inspira superior to my little Savvy in almost every other aspect...(except R&H and FC) rclxms.gif

Savvy is really fun to drive...I remember driving my ex-colleague's Savvy...fun little car.

And it's at the very side of the carpet!

i've already removed all the excess rice but how do i clean it?
got food, possibly curry (from the rice) stain too on the carpet
i dun want ants to visit my car sad.gif
*
Chief, just take it to any car wash place...I'm sure they can clean it out for you...no worries. Or u can clean it up with any carpert cleaner detergent

hav u ever encounter the front passenger door auto open by itself?
is not really wide open,
it jus like the door cannot fully close, then u nid to reclose it harder

and our car also monitor and alert u the door is open

thks and sory for my poor english
*
Happened to me once...but it was driver's door that became ajar while i was driving and the warning alarm went off rclxub.gif
I informed the SC when i sent in for my 1k service and they adjusted the hinges and told me to monitor if it happened again.

Still trying to figure out whether it was the hinges or hantu masuk as i was passing by a graveyard when it happened blink.gif tongue.gif

Looks like not me only have the tak tak tak sound. I asked during my last service, they told me is the MIVEC sensor sound...

Dunno true or not.
*
Yea...I have the 'tak tak tak' sound too but only at idle. It's there after driving car around and when idle with the air-cond switched off, can hear. Sometimes not so prominent and when I rev the engine during idle, the sound is not there. The sound is like a rhythm.
I can't quite remember if the Lancer had it when i test drove it. I remember reading somewhere online...there was comparison made between the 4B11 and the 4G63 and the writer said the characteristic knocking sound is evident with both engines. I think I read this in a US Lancer forum which I randomly found on Google.
I hope it's nothing 

Added on September 25, 2011, 1:51 amMaybe all those whose got absorber/bush noise should send a petition to Proton MD. This kinda noises shouldn't be there...especially when we spent 80k to 90k on the car. Inferior quality parts used I suppose. Proton should bury the suspension noise issues permanently...especially after the Waja orchestra.
Just get rid of the supplier or if there's improper assembly of the suspension in the factory, then sack those responsible. Hard earned money used to buy the car...only for some incompetent moron in Proton to spoil the joy of owning it.

Is that Synthium 1000 15w50?? IMO, you should go straight to Synthium 3000 10w40 instead....15w50, like i said earlier...too thick for normal usage. Yeah, which SC btw?
*
I'm using Syntium 1000..yea it's 15w50. It's kinda thick but no choice as the SC did not carry Syntium 3000. I did mine at the Jalan 225, PJ SC.

Maybe i'll get Syntium 3000 on my own for the next service...although the SA was not keen on it as it will be logged in the SC's system that i brought my own oil. Should anything go wrong in the future and need to claim any warranty on the engine, their claims dept will blame the oil that i brought rclxub.gif Oh well, it was just his opinion though.

I hope they will start to stock up on Syntium 3000 as a lot of customers are asking for it.

Yep its the 1.8 MT.

So must turn the temp all the way to the end for the cold temperature? And the the air blow is weak?

What about passengers? Any of your passengers complain its hot at the back?

I mean, I dont need the warm air at all. Its hot enough in Malaysia already! Is it bearable under Malaysia's hot sun? Any problems?

Have to ask these questions to current owners as test-drive wouldnt be able to see if the air-cond is sufficient for Malaysia's climate. The SA will give me all kind of craps.

Any complaints? Even a minor one?
*
It's pretty cold with 2.0P. I usually leave it at 24 - 25 degrees.
Even if i park under the hot sun and later drive away, it'll cool down pretty fast. In such cases i set the temp at 22 degrees and after abt 30mins i put it back to 24.
