I travel quite heavy Kenny.
That's why I need something really last and Mitsubishi parts actually quite good IMO.

Those bush and rubber thingy just finger cross.
I just worry parts break down too often.

Btw ur fuel consumption mind to share? Thanks.
I prefer driver than paper talk.
*
mine almost simliar with ckk ..
but worse case i done is 10km/l ..
average to 11km/l .. city drive
not yet tested highway ...

proton only replace minor parts with local production. u save 30k from mitsu smile.gif
u get 3 years warranty for promotion now.. some 5 i think..
if u worry .. next time just change to mitsu parts .. it is all plug n play biggrin.gif .. remember u saved 30k .. u can buy a lot parts and fuel from there .. lolz

After driving overseas for a while, I realize that having an extra cigarette and usb port is convenient. Sometimes you have connected your GPS to your current cigarette port and your phone needs charging, where can you plug your phone to? If you have 2 x cig ports and 1 usb port, you can really have the following setup

1. 1st Cig = GPS
2. 2nd Cig = Handphone charging
3. USB Port = Thumb drive for mp3 playback.

I nvr realized that until I went overseas and drove the cars there. I checked a few of the rental cars over there (be it compact or intermediate) and all of them have 2x ciggy ports and 1 usb port. Its so much more convenient this way.

About FC, 1.8 City FC should be around 10-11 km/l...

pip x come out liao with 2.0 CVT propaganda.  tongue.gif

2.0 got a lot of extra goodies, but 1.8 CVT isn't that bad too. Ask kenny, he pretty much 2.0-ify his 1.8 MT liao  sweat.gif
*
ehh. . suddenly my name appear out of no where ..
hahaha

i wanted a 2.0 la... but proton didnt bring in 2.0 MANUAL .. and i die die dun wan auto ... so have to 1.8 --> 2.0 myself lo .. haha (Exclude the leather please ... ) .. just not my type leather .. maybe when my child split in my car then only i will consider .. lolz

on FC part, the highest recorded efficiency based on LCD is 15.9km/l average at PLUS highway, northbound under constant 120-130km/h

normally i could get 13-14km/l easily on highway with speeds between 110-150km/h

city drive average 10-12km/l from kepong to mid valley / times square
occasional daredevil mode, 8-10km/l from kepong to mid valley.

1.8MT

daredevil mode activated when chasing the motorist huh tongue.gif

Yeah...but ECU flashing will Proton SC do it frequently? Cuz Let's say I flashed in a working cruise control enabled rom, send it to service they flash new version of their to disable it......then i have to find u to redump the rom, flip the bits and flash back right?
*
dun worry ...
during TT .. we got a member whom's car got some problem with the idling. He complain at proton. Proton dont even have the proper tool to diagnose the car ... do u think they can FLASH it ??? lolz..

no la.. they wont flash it frequently. but possible there are new ECU codes from mitsu, so the new batch might have different sets of ROMS.. i know how to check and know what to do with the new ROMS .. those whom just dump the file and reflash ppl cars, does not know what is inside ..

I am using SE X8. Happens to my wife's SE X10 mini pro as well. Can playback MP3 no problem.

I believe this could be more of a Clarion than a Proton problem, thing is, its not mentioned clearly that whether we are suppose to seek Proton or Clarion for support on the HU.

Convex HU ... have to check it out with accessory shop and see....

I'm planning to start getting a DLink DNS320 as my NAS soon. Currently using an ancient compaq Laptop at home to do my downloading (around 10GB everyday, given streamyx no downtime).
Anyway this is off topic, will playstation 3 make a good HTPC (player that can play everything, from thumb drive, hdd, cd,dvd,bd) or a traditional small factor PC is still better?
*
NO! ... many codecs especially rmvb .. does not support in ps3 ..
also ah hem (downloaded bluray) .. they encoded the security code in the SOUND .. yes .. SOUND .. which ps3 will read .. and says unable to play due to security something something.. my fren kena .. lolz

Actually, this tuning thing...does it work to improve FC? Or just too insignificant? If not significant, why bother ler...just vrrooom vrooom away!
*
of coz it does ...
bcoz manufacturer always play safe .. with worse case senario on ur car smile.gif .. so our tuning is a bit on the safe side..
if u wan FC .. no only that, they tune it to get Euro compliance.. the best FC u can get is on around 15:1 AFR .. but most of our car is tune to 13.5 AFR during load. Why ? because best FC does not the most enviroment frenly .. Euro compliance they need to tune it somewhere there as they claim is more enviroment frenly.. hurting ur wallet a bit sometimes..

But will it makes the engine shaking coz RPM too low??

Added on October 5, 2011, 5:03 pm
Sorry, i don't do NAS....a good NAS with at least 4 bays are not cheap.....better just get a PC with lots of SATA connectors...mine has 5 inside...all fully utilized...brows.gif
*
Matrix .. tuning is not about making the RPM low ...
tuning is about maximising the burning (to get better FC) ..
or adjusting the mivec timing to be more agressive during certain RPM ..

making the RPM low during idle wont help in FC .. it will only make ur car looks like old car ..

ok...thanks sifu, notworthy.gif...i only know how to drive car...hahha..

our ECU now very high tech d .. not old school type smile.gif

u can actually tell the ECU .. during 50% load .. at 3000 rpm .. fire how much fuel to how much air then open the mivec by how much .. it will either be more power .. or more fuel saving .. laugh.gif

it has 3D mapping tables nowadays ... not like DM3 says .. screw .. old school method ..
