So my gf had the misfortune of dropping her Ipong and causing the display to fail. This caused me the need to find some way to repair the display.
Searching thru LYN, I shortlisted a few potential repair services. In the end, I decided upon WimpyKid's service.
TBH I had some hesitation as I've read about some repair service going badly. So I even searched for bad reviews about this guy... seems to be none... OK good so far. Checked his FB page, I have a fren also liking his FB page... even better

So, I Whatsapp'ed him asking for a quote and for comparison with other repair services' listed prices. Was reasonably priced and location is nearby. I informed him I'll come over tomorrow and he requested that I call before going over. Reasonable request so I agreed and said will call him tomorrow.
Next day, I called him @ 12:30 PM but no one picked up. Sent him a Whatsapp and he replied 5-10 min later asking what time I'll arrive. 40 mins I said or 1:30 if jam. He say will arrange engineer to meet me there.
Went to the location but got slightly lost due to a wrong turn. Called him to inform will be late 10 min coz got lost xD
Met the engineer, Rajan @ 1.35 and we proceeded to start the repairs while chit-chatting. Rajan opened up the Ipong in <5 min and tested to see if the issue is with the LCD or just the connectors.
He even informed us of the water-mark sticker was showing pinkish in color indicating that there was water leak. That surprised us as my gf was careful (up to now xD) with her Ipong. He suspect the cause of the issue was due to my gf's office freezer air-cond

and gave us advice to either keep the Ipong in pocket or have a sleeve cover for it.
Bad news, problem is with LCD

So, as WimpyKid said there were 2 option replacement LCD. 1 cheaper and another slightly more expensive. "What's the difference?", I asked. Rajan proceeded to explain the difference and even showed us by connecting the different LCDs up.
Opted for the cheaper LCD and he replaced the LCD and tested it was working correctly for us.
p/s: Sorry to WimpyKid's engineer Rajan coz I caused him to have a very late lunch that day

TLDR version:
1. Iphone display not working due to drop.
2. I made the appointment 1 hour prior to meet time (during lunchtime 1.30 PM mind you!)
3. Repair carried out in front of me.
4. Detailing issue and potential issues with the Ipong that I wasn't aware of previously.
5. Friendly and very meticulous engineer, Rajan!
6. Explains the difference of each choice.
7. Does not hard-sell more expensive option, leaves decision to me on the part which I want to replace with.
8. ???
9. Profit! (Ipong display fixed

)
I'd highly recommend WimpyKid should your Ipong needs repairs.
Take no offence bro, your service is great but I don't hope to see you or Rajan again.... I don't want my Ipong to break to have to see you!
