Better sell fast before price drops even further...
Just my 2 cents though haha

Looks like GT660M would be just a faster GTX560M. doh.gif

C'mon Asus, what happened to the GTX670M?!

Aww, I been to survey this noon, And i'm here only got
N55SF with i5 rm2899
and
N45SL with i5 rm2899 too. I'm going to buy it, but don't know which 1 is better? Can someone kindly tell me which should I choose?

N55SF (Nvidia gt555m) but 15' screen
N45SL Jay chou(Nvidia gt635m) 14'sceen,
And I have checked the difference between 555 n 645 seems not big different . . .am i right?
I want to buy 45SL because of gt 635, but is this version Expensive 2899 because of the Special edition? == i dont like jay chou .
I want to buy 55sf i5, because 15' screen . but 555m. . . omg fed up which 1 should i choose?
*
GT635 is just a rebadged GT555M so no difference there.

Main difference I would have to say is that the outlook, and screen.

The N55SF comes only in black with the silver banding while the N45SL comes in white with the blue band. The screen on the N55SF is better with higher resolution of HD+ (1600x900) or even fullHD (1920x1080) depending on version. N45SL is still stuck at HD (1366x768).

after reading the reviews, do correct me if i'm wrong on ultrabook, most of them do not come with VGA and LAN connectors.

the only one is toshiba Z830 or was it HP folio 13, i mean after all, mobility ultrabooks for work, you need to do presentation and sometimes for sure in needs of LAN connections for internet..

PF TJ, the list above, are all of the models avaliable selling in Malaysia already?
*
The Samsung Series 5 has both VGA and LAN, Samsung Series 9 and Asus UX21/31 comes with included USB dongles for VGA and LAN, Envy 14 Spectre has LAN but no VGA.

All models are pretty much available here, that's why there's the retail pricing.

There is a USB to VGA adapter. Well it's either that or mini HDMI to VGA converter.

Just came back from PC Fair and tested out quite a few ultrabooks.

Also, not too happy about the Acer M3's build quality. shakehead.gif

The 14" Toshiba U840 is something to look out for! Looks pretty good, feels excellent. thumbup.gif

The base model comes with a 500GB HDD with 16GB SSD is RM2999. Add RM400 more for a 128GB SSD.

But biggest problem with pretty much all ultrabooks now is the very shallow key travel.

Also, they have to stop using the Macbook styled single panel glass touchpad.

The one on the M3 is horrible. If you depress the left and right "buttons" too hard, it just feels like it will go all the way in.

There we go~
No idea yet as I just obtained it about 3 / 4 hours back. I'll report back after I start using it outside my home. laugh.gif

P/S you don't see any battery readings there as I have taken the battery out after it got charged fully and now it's running on AC power.
*
Ahhh, you can use BatteryBar. It's a good counter with built in percentage, full runtime and power draw meter.

+1

Heard they will come out with a new one with the GT650M to replace the current GT555M.  hmm.gif

Clevo W110ER sure is a great piece. If only they could release 13" version, and a bit lighter(current 11.6" weight 1.8KG).  drool.gif
*
Hell, an 11" with those specs at 1.8kg? So worth it compared to the much heavier M11x laugh.gif

Thanks for sharing bro~~

Actually I'm just looking for a good, normal (non-ULV) subnotebook which doesn't need to have a dGPU tongue.gif
There's not much to choose from at the moment..

Take the 12.5" Samsung lah laugh.gif

I've seen it, and loving it to be honest haha
Just that I'm not very confident with their after sales support...
Which leaves only the Dell Vostro V131 and Toshiba Portege R830  tongue.gif
*
Have you seen any complains about Samsung laptops around here? biggrin.gif

QUOTE(tjlau @ Apr 16 2012, 11:43 AM)
Regarding Toshiba Protege R830, what are the differences? as in is it only processor? main usage would be mobility, office usage of spamming outlook, word, excel and powerpoint as well as presentation to office.

Portégé R830-1004UB/UR/U, i5-2410M
Portégé R830-1056UB/UR/U, i5-2430M
Portégé R830-2007U, i5-2520M

I believe i5 would for sure be sufficient for such usage, what say you?
I manage to find http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshib...ok.55237.0.html which is the i3 processor, cant find the i5, any idea?

EDIT: found the i5, http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Toshib...ok.58664.0.html but it seems the i3 rating with % seems much higher in terms of average use.
*
Pretty much processor, drive size and pricing.

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Apr 16 2012, 12:11 PM)
Just reporting on the notebook's power consumption for web browsing and minor application starts, one hour can eat up to 40% of the total available battery power with the screen brightness set to the third highest level.

**Acer V3-571G.
*
Hmmm, battery life seems pretty alright for an i7. What's the battery size? hmm.gif

Finally! This looks good!

Still, the GTX660M's 128-bit bus is a bit of a let down. If it were higher, it'll knock the GTX570M off.
