i5 is better in term of processing prowess. AMD APU rarely overheat imo. List out the full spec so we can help you choose.

Honestly.. i don't think PC Fair is that much gooding. Sometime u can get even better deal after PC Fair.

If u have the money to get 680M just go for it. Many Clevo/Sager user with HD7970M plague by GPU under utilization caused by Enduro. So far only Alienware M17x R2 with HD7970M are free from the problem.

Not bad just that you can't get one without windows.

Not so much, the GT650M in Y480 can reach GTX660M level when u start to overclock it. Only clock speed varies the two.

In other hand, Y580 have better cooling because of its size and also it come with FHD screen (RM3k model). Cons, heavier and HDD is hotter than normal unless you move it to ODD bay.
