Guys , need some suggestion here.

1. Brand- prefer ASUS & DELL, or any other good and reliable brand.
2. Budget - around rm5k
3. Usage - mostly for gaming.
4. Screen size - mayb 14" above?

Yes that's correct.

The GTX560M is still better than the GT555M by about 20%. Do bear in mind that this version of the GTX560M in the G53SX is a crippled version of the GPU with a 128-bit bus compared to the 192-bit bus found in the normal version.

GPUs with GTX don't have Optimus, only the ones starting with GT does.

for me..(my personal experience with gt 520m the lowest 5series,too much stuttering) optimus kinda fail. but idk if it was only happened to me,bad luck for me.

U mentioned that the gtx560m in g53sx comes in 128-bit, what about the gt 555m in m14x ?

The GT555m [type B1] in the m14x is the top among all the other GT555ms brows.gif
But then cannot compare with GTX560m la, its a totally different level already haha

Based on your requirements, its seems like you're more concerned with gaming performance rather than portability. Hence the G53 would be the better pick by a huge margin compared to the M14x nod.gif

Haha. nod.gif yes u got that right. I dont real mind about the power comsumption or portability, mostly i would just remain stationed and plugged in also only use battery for works and simple tasks.

One more, if im not mistaken, g53 is cheaper compared to m14x , is it ?

Well, it depends on which G53, and which M14x you're referring to laugh.gif
Asus
G53Sx-IX042v [3D], i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX560M (2GB) + Bluray@RM4999, backlit keyboard, 3D glasses, gaming backpack & mouse
G53Sx-SZ039v, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GTX560M (2GB)@RM3999, backlit keyboard, gaming backpack & mouse

Thanks for your reply smile.gif

Yep the G53 without 3D, normal dvd writer would be good enough for me.. the difference between SZ039v and IX042v i think is the bluray(i dont really know about this) and the RAM that comes with it(again correct me if im wrong).
