n43sl jay chou 14" vs n55sf core i5, 15"

btw...originally i want a 14". i considered n45sf but bcoz of the GPU problem, it is now out of list coz i need laptop now.
so n43sl might be the best. but n55sf is also look tempting with the numeric keyboard.
can sifus plzzz give opinion about this and also comment about their weight and also sound perfomancerclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
Weight and Size: Asus N55sf (duh!)
Sound quality: Asus N55sf

so it all boils down to whether you're okay with living with a 15" laptop, especially important if you're a student who walks around alot haha

yes. it's true i'm a student and walk with laptop a lot... "Weight and Size: Asus N55sf (duh!)".... but i thought 15" is heavier. ermm. do you know the actual weight with and without batt?? huhu. sorry for noob question
*
Err.... yea, the N55sf is of course heavier and bigger haha~
Not sure about the weight without the battery though, too specific sweat.gif
But based on my experiences, its not the weight that matters most in terms of mobility, but rather the size nod.gif

dell inspiron 15r n5110 i5 and toshiba satellitet L755 -1009x witch one batter?same standard but witch quality is batter and last longer???if both same will dell inspiron 15r n511o i7 batter than toshiba L755???can't sleep!!!
*
Assuming you're referring to both models with i5 + Gt525m nod.gif
The Inspiron 15R comes with only 1 year warranty, but its on-site, whereas the L755 comse with 2 years local carry-in warranty.
Both are more or less the same, hence its best that you go and try out the real thing for yourself yo icon_rolleyes.gif

If its me, and if strictly this 2 models, I would go for the Inspiron 15R + 3 years NBD warranty thumbup.gif

1. Preferred Brand: HP, Compaq, Lenovo, actually anything besides acer and asus

2. Budget: Below RM2400 (of cos cheaper will be better for my wallet)

3. Usage: Autocad, Presentations, Work

4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 14" and below

5. Criteria: must be reliable, MUST BE LIGHT (the lighter the better- will be travelling a lot)
*
If you want something light, can consider a 13" laptop:
Dell Vostro V131, i5-2430M + Intel HD3000@RM2299[1.82kg], W7HB

* Use the remaining money to extend warranty or upgrade to W7HP

If you don't mind older technology, you can consider this one as well:
Dell Inspiron 13R, i5-480M + Intel HD@RM1599

What do u think about the HP and the Lenovo units that u suggested? and what if i opened my options up to Asus and Acer?
*
Imho, the Lenovo (all 3 units) are fine, but it'll be good if can extend the warranty to 3 years for peace of mind laugh.gif
The HP is kind of glossy, I don't really like it laugh.gif

If open to Asus,
Then definitely the:
N43SL, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2699[2.4kg][Bang & Olufsen] *No USB3.0
N43SL (Jay-Chou edition), i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M (2GB)@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen], *USB3.0, Colors: Gold/Red

...which one to choose depends on how much money you're willing to fork out hehe~
Asus N43Sl (normal version) can get at around RM2.3-2.4k

Hi, I'm planning to get my first laptop and I'm torn between these G53SX-SZ039V - RM3999, N55SF-SX047V - RM3699 & N55SF-S2043V - RM2799. My primary usage is photos editing, gaming and long-hour downloading, so which one should I get? Is the i7 upgrade worth the price?
*
Asus G series are taylored specifically for gaming, thus the G53 would be the best option, provided you're okay with it being less portable thumbup.gif

Please stay away from N45sf is you're planning to buy right away sweat.gif The GPU problem isn't fixed yet.
If you can wait then hold your horses and see what happens to the N45sf laugh.gif
*
+1, by right the N45sf is the better and obvious pick... but then since it is experiencing some serious flaws, better avoid.
