You can get
ASUS N43SL (Jay Chou edition) for better sound quality and USB 3.0
ASUS N45sf if you can wait (till this Friday probably since ASUS going to release a fix, no idea about the outcome), ada problem now with the GPU.

Eh, one question. If the monitor can't be seen by any other angle besides the normal to your screen, it's LCD right (turning into some weird colour)?
If can be seen by a wide angle it's LED right?

You might want to have a look at Acer 4250, Toshiba NB500D and ASUS K43U... these are lower spec than what bro PF TJ recommended though.

No idea about HP

Btw, make sure to format the external hard disk to eXFAT instead of NTFS and FAT32.

You might want to have a look at Lenovo G470 too.
Intel i5-2410M + Intel HD3000 + 2GB DDR3 RAM @ ~RM1800 (recent price drop, not sure about the price)
QUOTE(sOuLx @ Oct 13 2011, 02:07 PM)
is AMD A8 proc is good? just for normal daily usage and occasional gaming?
*
Not sure about A8 but A6 has a much higher battery consumption in idle (about ~22W) compared to my laptop (~10W) but the graphic performance is absolutely great (for internal graphics) shocking.gif
I have to say that it's great thumbup.gif
