Tab/Tab 7+/Tab 7.7 are the ones that can call and SMS. Tab here I mean is the Old Tab, P1000

yupe. already use my tab7+ for 3 weeks as phone function... this tab will only come to malaysia on jan..

I believe their cost for GNote much higher due to the pen is exclusively for GNote and not produce in large quantity... as for SAMOLED+ it produced for afew Galaxy device which contribute for larger quantity... when a device produce in large quantity the return cost will be faster as all item contribute to the SAMOLED+ was bought in larger bulk thus lesser cost...

This is why normally when there's a technology mass produced, the price will be chaper as all the small item to build the technology bought in large quantity and cheaper cost.

You also can see this kind of trade in normal bulk either in LYN Garage Sales / Hyper Market.

When you buy a bulk contains 5 items is much expensive for each of the item in the bulk then a bulk contain 10 items.

I know what you mean but I truly believe a screen isn't cost that much. I remember someone disected ip4 and priced each part. Forgot how much the screen is but it isn't cost much, and the whole thing cost like 10% of the selling price of ip4. If you get what I mean, this is just the matter of how much they would earn. They can basically sell them as the same thing (referring to SA and SA+) for the same price, just they'll earn less. The pen won't cost much too. It's the patent and the innovation in using the pen that cost end users a bomb.

Where where preorder?? Anyway... 2699 is super ultra rediculously extremely OMG-ly overbudget. I should get a phone instead. If were to get tablet, it must have data capability, prime is out Note is overbudget and too large to be a phone, too small to be a tablet... Android phone here I come

yes... the cost might be 10%... Pen won't cost much as the patent... but it still additional cost compare to a mass production samoled+ since as I said a few device use SAMOLED+... and I remembered that Samsung partner/ work together with WACOM for the screen & software so it would be precise when using pen... this type of partnership is an additional cost compare to a large screen samoled+

Other specs of 7.7 also mass production already thus the 10% cost should be much cheaper than GNote.

- Pen
- screen & software (work together with WACOM)

The things that in 7.7 that not in others.
- 7.7 inch SAMOLED+ (the process to make the screen using the same item only its in 7.7)
