Great explanation. A lot of people would think that selling phones can earn a lot since the market got so many new models and high demands. But people tend to forget the competition is quite tough nowadays that end up squeezing the profit margin of reseller. I remember last time when I start selling original nokia phone, the profit per unit is round 150-200. nowadays, the most earned for an ori phone is only around 10-20 depending on area. Haiz…
Yes Burb, i even hear some AP Company close down & some of it change their business type to other mix. It's not only slash by profit, due to too many new model came out and replacing each other in fast, buyer demand also dropped as well. Don't mention about the economy value went down, afford rate dropped, make most ppl stop their step for buying gadget to prevent over-spend. I personally assume current market strike & impact one of many reason is due to 'overflow' of credit card approver, & misused of 'Easy Payment Scheme'. Look for past few year, Telco, Communications Store, Gadget Center, IT Shop offering up-to 36 Months of Installment, buying Laptop, Mobile-Phone, Electrical Items. Making ppl over spend on their gadget last few year, and now still paying debts. Telco like Maxis, Digi, Celcom offering Easy Payment for iPhone with 24 months contract (about RM2xx per month, i still remember), making ppl still paying every month now, see ?
When ppl overspend (especially Credit Card holder), this will be impact to market buying afford. Try look around those shop & shopping in normal day ? Few ppl walk in tho their shop but buying rate is very low.
