 Timber skirting cost, Question??

its like saying don't use timber doors because of termite risk.

sure, timber will always be at risk of termites, but there are different types of timber with their own natural resistance to termite.

I'm sure you wont use marble skirting if you have timber floors, would you? smile.gif

Wood is coming back for higher-end homes.


Cost for skirting really depends on type, species, size.

For laminate flooring, the preferred option is still to use MDF skirting or solid timber if budget permits. I can show you the difference and you can make your own decision which to use later.

PVC is recommended for accessories (stair nosing, transitions and adaptation profiles) since they are more durable compared to MDF ones..

PS. Phoenix, let me know when you are doing your floor screed and bathroom tiling. I will need to advise you on where to end the tiles.
