Highly recommend this download, it's actually an addition to iTunes, does loads of stuff, best part of it is, it recommends a list of music similar to whichever you are listening to, and free mp3 downloads too! Very cool!

Hey, any converter that converts avi to mpeg or mpeg-2 format? Cause I tried to download ffmpegX but there's an error everytime I downloaded. Thanks.

You have problems downloading? Or installing? Or using it? You have to follow the installation instructions carefully there..

I have been using ffmpegx only, maybe others could recommend some..

Anyone know which software can control the power management for MacOSX?
I want to connect the screen to my LCD TV and want the screen remain active when the top closed
Thanks ya

My guess is you want to use your notebook with external monitor, with your notebook closed, right?

You dont need any software to do that, with that intention in mind I suppose you already have external keyboard & mouse?

All you need to do is close your notebook with your external monitor connected, let it go to sleep, then wake it up with your external keyboard or mouse.

You guys should really try this. VERY VERY USEFUL, just exactly what I was looking for. Got it yesterday and it worked flawlessly.

http://www.caseapps.com/sofacontrol.html

It lets you control major applications just with the Apple Remote and it controls the mouse cursor too, with clicking, double click and right click abilities too!

yeap, whenever Apple release a new OS, they kill many software, some say it's bad, some say it's good. Consumer win wink.gif

That's one of the reason I'm holding back on Leopard for now. Hope the softwares catch up fast.

need help. Im using microsoft messenger for mac (no not adium or anything like that).

Can i prevent it from logging out when my mac goes to sleep ? Whenever my macbook sleeps it will disconnect dry.gif

I dont think you can, when your mac goes to sleep, all connections are terminated, all activities are put on hold. Your problem is not with messenger.

Highly recommend this for all "banana"s like me. With it, you can type Chinese (as usual) and find its meanings AND pronunciation. Yes it reads out Chinese words smile.gif

jz wan 2 ask...how 2 update 10.3.9 to 10.4?
*
They are totally different versions, 10.3's are Panther while 10.4's are Tiger, and the latest 10.5's Leopard. Whether it is Tiger or Leopard that you want to upgrade to, you will have to buy it.

I just realized I can play realmedia on VLC. Didn't install anything additional as I recall, just deleted Real Player while cleaning up and next thing I know I can play realmedia on VLC.

Is that iDVD good for photoslideshow ? i want to comply about 50 photos in a movie line. Please help me.

I believe iPhoto does that, which you can export into a movie. Haven't used that quite some time though but I think it still works the same.
