i just found this nice piece of software which syncs a folder from your mac to the internet for free. it is a concept of dropbox where u drop things to your public folder so that you can share with other users within the network
However this dropbox syncs your files to the internet and makes it publicly accessible or privately store your files online (only accessible by you when log in to the web interface) I find it quite handy when i want to send files to others and don't look forward on uploading files to file upload sites like rapidshare or sendspace. i just drop into the dropbox folder and it wll automatically sync my files online. furthermore, if you put the files in public folder, you can just right click on the file in finder and get the public url pasted to your clipboard there are also other features that i havent explore like versioning (something like svn where you can retrieve your previous copy) and you get 2gb of space for a free account. if you are interested do check it out This post has been edited by chizzu: Mar 6 2009, 07:11 PM |

yes mecury msn supports webcam. havent try before coz i prefer skype than msn for video conferencing.
anyways, tested this SynergyKM that allows you to share keyboard and mouse between different computers. i tried it with my office desktop and sharing the mouse and keyboard with my mac. it comes in handy when i need to use my mac i dont need to move my hands to my macbook pro but use the same mouse and keyboard instead nifty! QUOTE(truss @ Apr 30 2009, 05:09 PM) any software that will help me manage my passwords & pins? Something that will sync with my ipod touch as well will be best. 1Password but it is not free...QUOTE(truss @ May 2 2009, 01:04 AM) I have installed an application and I wanna install a newer version. How do I uninstall it from my mac? just move it to bin or replace the file with newer version if it is app file. if it is a package then you will need uninstaller from the package. |
