How to fix a flashing zone light of the home alarm system? My home alarm system is from "SMART System". One of the zone light has kept flashing all the time for many days whenever it is on or off. Does someone know what the problem? Thanks!

Have you refer to your manual?

This can be different things depending on the alarm system. For system with wireless, it could be the sensor battery low. Why don't you check with your installer or check the manual?

honestly, no user manual. i bought sub sale and this alarm installed by developer...ask management, they say no user manual...

i hope is not wiring problem because just do the plaster ceiling...

if wiring problem, i think the zone light will not blink at all when the door is open or close..

Have you tried searching for your alarm system's website, etc. They may have a manual that you could download. What about asking the developer for the installer's contact? He should be able to shade some light to it and also the manual.

BTW, don't be surprise that the wiring could be the cause of the problem. I encountered a problem with one zone in my alarm system, It turn out the that source of the problem was due to wiring smile.gif

Not sure if yours is the same as my previous alarm. Got a similar fault msg. The fault was located to the battery problem. Replaced the battery and everything in order.
Hope this helps.

Well, in that case you may need to refer to your installer. Maybe some resetting on the alarm control board.
