QUOTE(jimlim007 @ Oct 15 2011, 10:19 AM) Canon Closes Factory Hopw they alll are ok...god blessCanon Inc. halted operations at its inkjet printer plant in Ayutthaya because of flooding and will keep the factory closed tomorrow as a precautionary measure, Hirotomo Fujimori, a Tokyo- based spokesman for the company, said by phone today. Indorama Ventures Pcl (IVL), which says it’s the world’s largest producer of polyester, shut factories in Lopburi province that make wool yarns and polymers, the company said on Sept. 27. Sony Corp.’s factory in Ayutthaya, which produces digital cameras and lenses, hasn’t suffered major damage from flooding and is operating as normal, Yasuhiro Okada, a Tokyo-based spokesman for the electronics maker, said by phone today. but Nikon get hurt ![]() Nikon has stopped operation until October 6. The update, shared by Nikon Rumors, has the first floor of all buildings currently submerged. The factory manufactures digital single-lens reflex cameras and interchangeable lenses for these DSLRs. Detailed damages are still being investigated, and how many people were hurt or killed is also still unknown. Nikon promises to update the public and its shareholders as soon as it gauges how its operations will be affected. The torrential downpours started in July. Hi sifu...would like to ask u guys 1 question....i am using a77 v big beercan...but the color seem like old old feel...may I know is it my setting problem?or the lens getting old so the pictures quality will looks like old? |

QUOTE(ieR @ Oct 15 2011, 07:04 PM) deadangel: try reshoot another set in the green AUTO mode. i just find out...the lens can get better picture when i shoot outdoor...and the lens need very good lightning only can get good picture...i will try to shoot again in the morning with green color stuff...i dont think is overexpose, its seem like A77 WB is more accurate white, or its missing red, while the other camera pic up a lot tungsten/magenta |

QUOTE(lwliam @ Oct 15 2011, 07:11 PM) I don't think ieR is asking you to shoot a green copier object, but instead, look at that dial on your camera on the top left panel, turn it to the green color AUTO position and use that while you get familiar with your camera. Which lens are you using? Most lenses, not only kit lens, will perform better in a condition with good lighting. Have you read the camera's manual? i am using big beercan 75-300mm...i haven fully read it...jz test to shoot only...coz jz got it 2days ago...will read the manual...hahaAdded on October 15, 2011, 7:17 pm That's because you're in TTL mode. Read up on TTL / through-the-lens in google or Wikipedia and try to grasp as much as you can from the articles. |

I tweaked the levels slightly on this one. Note where the shadows are. This is also a portrait-oriented crop of a landscape shot. ![]() This is a 100% crop of the above picture, not from the JPG, but from the RAW, processed with Adobe Camera RAW 6.5. (As always, ACR and Lightroom get the RAW support first.) I have intentionally pulled the shadows and restored the highlights so you get an idea how far a RAW file from the A77 can go. I could've pulled the shadows more but it would've looked very unnatural. Sure, the shadows do exhibit some noise, but remember that I pulled it from pretty much black into midtone territory, making it no longer ISO100! |
