PALS is proud to present “The GREATEST Worldwide Design Contest Ever - For The Sport of Paintball” that has never been seen or done before in the world. Here at PALS, we are always working very hard to introduce paintball as a sport positively to the general public. Now, you will have a chance to join in our efforts and be part of this historic initiative.
Everyone has heard of custom paintball designs for jerseys, goggles, loaders, markers, etc. We are taking it a step further – to another level – Fancy seeing your paintball inspired design on an aircraft?!?!
The time has come for us to do the impossible – transfer the most mind blowing paintball graphics right on to aircraft livery!!! Now you can be the designer of a brand new aircraft!!
To celebrate the partnership between AirAsia and PALS, and AirAsia’s involvement into the sport of paintball in 2011, PALS would like to invite you to design a plane with paintball elements by creating your own, unique PALS paintball centric design using the A320 airplane template we’ve provided on the entry form below. All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 (10 days before the Paintball World Cup Asia 2011). The winning design that is chosen will be painted onto one of AirAsia’s aircraft.

How it works?
1.) Download the A320 airplane template from the pdf HERE (http://www.paintballworldcupasia.com/airas...-Entry-Form.pdf)
2.) Design your PALS and Paintball inspired plane. Judging will be based on originality, creativity and the ability to express PALS and Paintball in a positive manner.
3.) You must include the AirAsia company logo and PALS primary logo as part of your design. Download your AIRASIA and PALS logos below:

You can utilize the entire area of the plane as shown on the official entry form, for your artwork (and don’t worry about the windows — draw right over them!)
4.) Submit your artwork electronically form to this email address: paintballplanecontest@palseries.org
5.) Please title the email “AIRASIA PALS - Paintball Plane Contest”. Electronic entries must be no larger than four (4) MBs and must be submitted as a PDF (together with a JPG image for reference).
6.) Completed entry forms and artwork must be emailed by Tuesday, November 1st, 2011 to be eligible for consideration. No other material sent along with the Official Entry Form will be accepted.
7.) Submitted entries will be featured in the photo gallery of : http://www.facebook.com/paintballworldcupasia
8.) There will be an online voting competition on Facebook whereby the Top 10 Most Popular Designs will be the first to be shown to the judge(s) and for “honourable mention designs”.

Prize Information
The judge(s) will select:
1.) One (1) Grand Prize winner from among all eligible entries. AirAsia will replicate the artwork of the Grand Prize winner on one of its aircraft upon receiving final approval. The Grand Prize winner will also receive USD 1,000 cash courtesy of PALS. (The prize will only be released upon the aircraft being launched with the new design during the official press conference).
2.) The Second and Third Place Winner will receive one (1) paintball loader (Valken V-Max loader) each. The prize will only be released upon the aircraft being launched with the new design during the official press conference.
*Note: In the event that no winners are chosen, the top three designs will receive (1) paintball loader (Valken V-Max loader) each.
3.) Top Ten (10) additional honourable mention designs will be selected and featured on PALS and WCA social networks. No prizes will be awarded to honourable mention winners.

Q: Who will judge the contest?
A: “The GREATEST Worldwide Design Contest Ever - For The Sport of Paintball” contest will be judged by no other than the man himself – Tan Sri Tony Fernandes (Group Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia) and the winner will be decided by Tan Sri Tony Fernandes during the Paintball World Cup Asia 2011 (November 10th-13th) at The Mahsuri Hall, Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia.
Q: Is there an age restriction for the contest?
A: No
Q: Is the contest open to all?
A: Yes it is open to all worldwide.
Q: What type of design elements can I use?
A: All designs must be submitted in PDF format (to prevent software errors) and also a copy in JPG format (for reference purposes).
Q: What is aircraft livery?
A: Aircraft livery is a paint scheme applied to an aircraft, generally to fuselage, wings, empennage (tail fin), or jet engines. Most airlines have a standard paint scheme for their aircraft fleet, usually prominently displaying the airline logo or name. From time to time special liveries are introduced, for example prior to big events. The term is derived from the more general term “livery”.
