Unfortunately chainfire didn't make a CF-Root for KH2. Rooted back using another method. However no CWM Use chainfire kh1 will do it This post has been edited by benny888: Sep 9 2011, 07:36 AM

If you plan to keep phone for 1-2 years get extend warranty. it is not much more expensive as for me i do not as seldom keep phone more than a year except my hd2 n nokia e71. The sgs II will be replace by galaxy note , hopefully by oct making it only 6 months usage

QUOTE(antt00 @ Sep 9 2011, 11:35 AM) On android market. But you need market enabler to change to US telco or similar. No need, the maps just auto update itself and I knew it only when a notification shown on taskbar

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 9 2011, 10:55 AM) care to share why note over sgs2? bigger screen size? Screen size ; always love big screen. That is why my Dell Streak is my main phone. The SGS II only secondary phone, use only to test/experiemnt with roms. The new Galaxy Note will have the Dell Streak size ( slight bigger ) and SGS II performance - what a good 2-in -1 good combo

QUOTE(desmondk @ Sep 9 2011, 12:14 PM) my phone is not rooted..so the maps will auto update oso? You need root only if you want to update yourself manually thro faking a telco ( using market enabler or market access) . Read page 1 faq if you dont know what this is In my case, the maps just auto update itself without me even requesting. these map auto updates and other google apps update is common. You need not do anything at all

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Sep 9 2011, 01:31 PM) streak... i once tested a streak 5 in a shop at mid valley. it was horrible... everything was laggy. took seconds to switch to different page, launch apps, etc... i dunno if the demo unit was buggy or what... i was turned off by the demo unit. anyway, last i heard, dell cancelled streak already. i'm surprised u din say tab7 is your main phone... if i recall correctly, watchdog 3g dun monitor data going thru wifi hotspot or sth like that. anyway, best to use telco that dun charge for exceeding bandwidth. The dell default UI is poorly designed; just replace it with say Launcher Pro, or Zeam, ADW - you will see a 100% improvement. Use a cook rom , and the performance is up another 100%. If this phone is bad, I will not be using it as my requirements are quite high. It ranks 3rd in my favorite phones after SGS II, HTC Incredible S. It beats the newer Xperia Arc, old Galaxy S in performance. I sold it after I bought the SGS II . But after a month, I bought back a new set. That just shows how I valued it. Some things in life you just need to experienced it to appreciate its goodness. Fleeting impressions are not always correct I never used Tab 7" as a phone - the phone function is just a bonus. It is just inconvenient. Use it to make a call is still OK but imagine taking a call while you are on the move, it is just not practical. So I am still puzzled why so many users wants the latest Tab 10.1 to have calls function

QUOTE(yehlai @ Sep 9 2011, 02:01 PM) Hi guys, ROM manager is useful? I found that CWM is better than ROM manager.. anyone using it? ROM Manager is unreliable when you wish to restore roms. It is compatible with certain roms of SGS II not all roms. You could have a 100% good backup, but pray you get a good restore. I always advise, if you use rom manger always test its restore - don't assume it will work Nothing beats Clockworkmod - it is 100% reliable in backups and restore. CWM has never fail me

QUOTE(Andrew Lim @ Sep 9 2011, 02:24 PM) Out of curiosity, does installing the Sense 3.0 lock screen require root access? Is it using WidgetLocker to install? Use AGILE LOCK for the htc sense 3 lockscreen. No need root

Never like those lockscreen apps. Still prefer default - simple and just a swipe away to unlock

do provide your review...i'm waiting for 2000maH from samsung..rather not to sacrifice the thickness..since the OEM battery serve me very well.. FYI to all, last time i did bought Andida battery that suppose to rate at 2000maH and everyone know it's not....when i used it, it lags the phone...just a heads up to anyone planning to buy this Andida battery... First time i hear battery can lag phone. What is the rationale I am also using andida, bought 2 units. Never faced such issues. See no diference with original. For its price nohing to complain except its life slight shorter than original

QUOTE(juoin @ Sep 9 2011, 09:06 PM) Actually, I can't understand the logic behind using stylus for taking notes on a capacitative touchscreen. I mean, when we write, our hand naturally rests on the surface right? Try it! So when you write on a tablet or even the Galaxy Note with a "pen-like" stylus, our hand will naturally rest on the device itself and cause it to register our hand right? So in order to avoid this we lift our hand up when writing and this becomes uncomfortable. =/ Anyone got the same thoughts as me? I don't think so. The last time when I was using the HTC Flyer, my palm never hit the screen. Just hold the stylus pen and write naturally. You might hit it if the stylus pen is very short like those stylus in the old windows mobile phones. Looking at the video, the pen is not short Added on September 9, 2011, 10:24 pmQUOTE(Shizuru @ Sep 9 2011, 10:03 PM) thats normal. don't worry. That is WARM.
