QUOTE(GenericMav @ Feb 8 2012, 06:15 PM) http://www.headfonia.com/the-upgrade-fiio-.../#disqus_thread"The reality is that if you think the E10 sounds good, then the E17 is going to be a clear upgrade. Identical tonality and sound signature means that if you like the E10′s sound, the E17 does bass/mid/treble exactly the same way. The bonus is that with the Alpen, the bass is punchier (awesome!), tighter (awesome x2), soundstage is wider, and the midrange is clearer. What is there not to like?" ![]() |

Met a fellow headphiler this afternoon and together with his friends bought 6x FiiO E5s. Was curious what are they up to with so many E5s
They had actually found a sweet spot with the following triple amping configuration: Sansa Clip+ > FiiO E5 > FiiO E5 > Headphones |

QUOTE(GenericMav @ Feb 16 2012, 07:13 PM) He claimed that it works miracle on big drivers, 40mm and above Added on February 16, 2012, 7:34 pm QUOTE(CoolBoy89 @ Feb 16 2012, 06:49 PM) Haha, I've sold my Dzero quite some time ago, and had been living without any DAC/amp for so long already, almost one month i think. Just decided to pull the trigger and get the E17, had been listening it for 2 hours continuously and it is safe to say that it has a significant improvement over the Dzero. I actually prefer the You are real lucky, do have a queue for 15 units which can't be delivered till end-March. much warmer and fuller sound compared to the bright-sounding Dzero. The bass is more impactful too. Luckily I got to buy the last unit from bro gshoppe85, else dont know the new stock when only come already This post has been edited by E1 - AKG: Feb 16 2012, 07:34 PM |

QUOTE(D-Frog @ Mar 11 2012, 02:06 PM) Yes it will. Especially if you use FiiO L3 to connect to your 4s. Not sure if your Sony model does have a dock out as well, you can use the FiiO L5. Without LOD, FiiO E6 using the you will only get much improved bass performance. With LOD, you will get additional improvement on clarity.![]() This post has been edited by E1 - AKG: Mar 11 2012, 04:30 PM |

Sorry for the need to make this statement here. It is for the good of FiiO users in Malaysia.
All along, there are several online sellers of FiiO product based here in Malaysia. However, of late, some of these sellers are not honoring FiiO's standard 1 year warranty Please be aware of the fact that E1 being the exclusive distributor is not obligated to honor any warranty for any product not dealt through E1 or its dealers. However, out of goodwill, will look into the merit of each case individually and decide on the next course of action. Basically, there are no such thing as warranty repair or tuning for FiiO |

QUOTE(pulse.Mx7 @ Mar 18 2012, 11:39 AM) Punch defined as point of attack. In drums, it means the actual kick of the bass drum or pluck of the bass guitar string without the associated after resonance (low boom). Punchier therefore means tighter and less boomy bass. Your E6 will work with getting you much higher volume to drive the headphones plus bass boost. However, if punch you are looking for over boom, you will need to consider your files and better DAC and amp. Do understand that to get a tighter / punchier bass, you will need to improve clarity much more than just volume and bass boost. Based on your need for portability and budget constrain, your FiiO E7 will serve you well PC > USB > E7/E17 > Headphones ![]() |

QUOTE(cntrdctn12 @ Apr 23 2012, 11:23 AM) Hi E1, I would like to connect my iPod Touch to my car. My car only has an AUX input. Would you please recommend me a good cable to make this connection and if there is anyway to enhance the sound further. Also, how and where can I buy this? Thanks ![]() Added on April 24, 2012, 1:19 am QUOTE(chaics85 @ Apr 23 2012, 01:44 PM) does the latest batch of e10 still have such problem? inserting both ends of the port, it will produce some ...... sound? thinking of getting one, but need some advice.. i'll be using it with my pc desktop using creative gigaworks t20 speaker and thinking of buying a superlux hd660 or hd669 to pair with e10. currently i'm using a usb dac, PCM2704. Only had 2 warranty exchanges from the very first batch of 10 and none from subsequent batches. For the difference, it is only fair for Nordingh as a user of both units to comment.or you guys have something better to introduce?? TQ.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ssTe1-8anwk Added on April 24, 2012, 1:24 am QUOTE(hebe0330 @ Apr 23 2012, 10:13 PM) hey guys, I'm currently looking for a DAC/amp for my laptop/iPad. the first brand I've read great reviews about is fiio. so I was wondering if anyone could contrast the e7 / e10 / e17 for me - in terms of SQ produced and potential price? my budget's at about 500+ For both laptop and iPad, the FiiO E10 is out. Can't connect to iPad. Left with only the E7 (16bit/48kHz) and E17 (24bit/192kHz). Since you have the budget, go with the E17 then. This post has been edited by E1 - AKG: Apr 24 2012, 01:24 AM |
