Yeah. That's the funny thing. I can make asio(asio4all) work w/ my realtek, but not E10. Using wasapi right now.

@GenericMav
Poisoning people huh Mav? Good job. @emiya_shin I assume it's a usual PC speaker, w/ it's own amp? Then it won't actually benefit from amping, rather, the better sound output from the DAC part. Anyway, like Mav said, as long the speaker is still good and your current sound card is a regular on-board, I bet the difference is there. How much of a difference? I agree w/ what bro android said. |

The DAC/amp Fiio currently working on, the E15(desktop) and E17(portable) would be well over my budget, so E10 is a safe choice for now. Unless there's a newer and better DAC/amp combo within E10's range, I'll be damned.
@emiya_shin I was looking at E7, but the fact that E7's amp is worse than E6 is kinda a turn off for me. Plus I'm not really into carrying an amp around, so E10 is my best bet. p/s: There are others like the D-Zero and so on, but I miskin already. |

QUOTE(emiya_shin @ Oct 23 2011, 11:57 PM) Nothing surprising, since E6 uses the same opamps as E7 plus an improved circuit design. Read ClieOS' impression on Fiio E6 for yourself to know how E6 is better than E7's amp. |

@wkkm007
Based on this video and this site, when the netbook is powered off or in sleep mode, you can connect any source to the netbook's mic-in and make use of the internal speakers. Question is, can the netbook do the same when it's turned on? If it can, E10 and E17 should be usable. |

QUOTE(nordingh @ Dec 31 2011, 11:38 PM) Ya sure? It's made to receive an input from mp3 player and whatnot. What's more for the internal SC to do? I thought Toshiba made it to work as line in i.e. as in straight to the speaker's amp when in this mode.Now that you mention it, Toshiba could have made it mic-in -> ADC -> DAC -> AMP -> speaker. Anyway, not that I'm particularly interested in knowing how it works. Since wkkm007 said it's useless when the laptop is turned on, case closed. |

QUOTE(Agnaem @ Oct 11 2012, 11:42 AM) Should work through L7 right? Setup gets a little messier though.. E09K. Scroll down a bit until there's a big "Support E07K/E17 Dock In."Anyway, just saw E07K at Fiio E09K's page. What's the diff? Well, there's only the name mentioned, so got a little curious. QUOTE(ShadowOni @ Feb 22 2013, 08:06 PM) From the makers themselves, E10 is better. However, Headfonia prefer E07K over the E10. Your choice.@wkkm007 <<WTS>> ♫ FiiO ♫ E12 Mont Blanc portable amplifier This post has been edited by Agnaem: Feb 23 2013, 11:25 PM |

QUOTE(josephting @ Feb 20 2014, 12:48 AM) Here's my take on it. E10 makes sense when it was almost RM100 cheaper than E07K. With the current price, might as well just buy E07K.See if this review would sway you into buying one. |

Good point. Well, just try to check out E09K and UD110 before deciding on ODAC + O2. They're arguably better.

QUOTE(josephting @ Feb 20 2014, 11:29 AM) I've already looked at E07K several times. You meant E09K QOGIR right?I wonder why that product just doesn't appeal to me. UD110 is interesting! I've already ordered an O2 Amp, will get a DAC later on down the road. Might consider UD110 if I can read a comprehensive review. Anyway, the last on this topic for UD110. ClieOS' impression on the UD100/110 with comparison to ODAC. |
