QUOTE(tareh @ Sep 1 2011, 07:57 PM) xoom has the hdmi, usb slot and expandable memory option. 7.7 has none? purleaseeee microSD slot is included... juz the weight itself already can offset the cons... Tab 7.7 weights approx. 50% of Xoom (335g vs 730g).. and the whole point of Android is having variety... there is always a device that suits wat u want... look else where if this one is not wat u want to see... honestly i rather take Iconia A500 than Xoom...

QUOTE(Racerx @ Sep 1 2011, 10:21 PM) Do you still need a smartphone with that? It's small enough to be portable and it also has telephony so IMO it fills the roles of a phone and tablet quite well, just make sure you use a handsfree kit while talking there are times when u won't want to carry a 7" tablet out even if u ve bluetooth headset... that's my experience with the original Galaxy Tab...

QUOTE(aerobowl @ Sep 3 2011, 10:51 AM) 7.7 the back seems durable but not sure is metal or plastic? the micro sd support is finally pull sammy back to the right track the original Galaxy Tab has it... Samsung removed it in Tab 10.1 and Tab 8.9 due to size restriction (Tegra 2 is a bulky and hot chip)... goes on to show u how much better Exynos is in terms of heat dissipation... in terms of thickness the king would be Toshiba AT200 (market name TBA) @ 7.7mm, but still with a 10" monitor and microSD, microUSB and microHDMI... oh, and a dual core TI OMAP 4430 @ 1.2GHz as well... Tegra 2's time is over... nuff said... This post has been edited by astria: Sep 3 2011, 11:26 AM

the Note is a phone, not tablet, technically speaking...
case in pt, it runs Gingerbread instead of Honeycomb...

QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Sep 4 2011, 02:12 PM) This one should run ICS instead if this one is released. Added on September 4, 2011, 2:17 pmBut the thing is the GT 7.7 has the S-AMOLED Plus display and 7.7-inch HD resolution. 10 inches is too large for portability. fiddled with my friend's Transformer, it's actually a good size if u want entertainment, and not too bulky... 7" is more geared for mobility... at the end of the day it's still ur own preference... QUOTE(wkkm007 @ Sep 4 2011, 02:27 PM) Yeah agree Samsung model tab as P xxxx and phone as GT xxxx. the easiest way to know is the above screen area have or not speaker for voice call. But phone I feel abit oversize well Dell Streak was a 5" phone which started the trend of oversized phones...

QUOTE(bladegun @ Sep 7 2011, 10:33 AM) Apple has no lawsuit with Samsung in Malaysia (yet). I guess there will not be problem for this Tab 7.7 to reach Malaysia. Tab 10.1 is on sale now. Tab 8.9 will be launch soon. So European and Australian will all come here to buy Tabs. Samsung AU has said that the Galaxy Tab that Apple sued in Australia is not the one they re bringing in... i think Apple AU tried to hit on Galaxy Tab 10.1v, which disappeared from Vodafone AU's website lately... and nah, Apple won't bother suing in MY... they need high profile markets to make it count...

QUOTE(mysai @ Oct 11 2011, 04:42 PM) I recall reading somewhere that Honeycomb does not support voice & text msgs, so now can you mean? i am not too sure, but to me it's juz a software issue... it could be that Samsung customized Honeycomb to allow for voice calling and SMS... the hardware is more than capable to do that... and with the imminent launch of Ice Cream Sandwich, this shouldn't be a problem anyway...
