juz wondering when the lappie can be totally replaced by a mobile phone...
hoping the arrival of tht day...
*
it won't. a lappie have more processing power than a mobile phone.
unless you only do browsing on your phone and googledocs or mobile office (and its variants) is enough for your day to day usage then i see no point in lagging around a larger notebook when a tablet would suffice.

as for others that actually do some work on their laptop, a large tablet with phone capabilities or a phone large enough to get into tablet territory could never replace the function of the laptop.

dell streak5 is too fat for someone that's gonna slip it into a flip case. this thin samsung would be just nice inside a leather flip case.
i thought a 4.1" phone would look great with web browsing and boy i was wrong.

then it means that it would be cheaper than SGSII ?! shocking.gif

hard to believe but considering that the S2 would be priced as their flagship, the note couldn't have a higher pricetag than the flagship.
and since the tab 8.9 would also support voice call, the note would hopefully be priced lower than the tab 8.9

nothing is certain for now. but don't think it'd be priced over RM2.5k like benny said.

will be available sometime in November for Scandinavian countries.

750 euro is RM3.1k

samsung is pricing the phone as a luxury niche item. not worth to buy when galaxy s2 is selling under RM2k now. and here i was hoping it'll be priced like the dell streak 5. sweat.gif

you should NOT convert them directly into RM, because different region different pricing.

for example, SGS2's launch price is 650 euro for 16GB and 730, and iPhone 4's launch price is 700 euro, but in Msia both cost around 2k.

didn't know there's a difference in pricing for different region. oh well, not paying lots of attention to mobile phones these days.

My 5" Dell Streak is 220 gm and is my main phone. I don't find it heavy. THis NOTE is lighter at only 178 gm

and thinner.

maybe such a large phone would look darn huge to those with tiny hands. but those that have a large palm, a 5 incher would look right at home.
the best phone (ever) that i've ever used is the huge P910i

i still have wet dreams about it even after 5 years since the huge brick is put inside the drawer. miss the 5 way scroll wheel so very much. if it wasn't for the broken keypad i'd still be carrying it around.

if it's true, its not very surprising, I've been saying this all along.
The previous "high price" is due to people's direct conversion from Euro price, which is stupid.

oih don't call me stupid lah. how should i know malaysia price is lower than EU. i'm not some random teenageer that closely follow handphone market and change phone every 6 month.
everything else (electronics) is priced higher than EU even when it's made in malaysia so i reckon it's the same as handphones.
