Absolutely no lag at all - superb scrolling and browsing ; the best android phone I have ever used - simply unbeatable

You mean the SGSII or Note.?
SGSII no lag as it has hardware accelerator. Note i dont know as dont have the phone now. But it also have the same accelerator as SGSII.

I change mainly for its bigger display and the s pen is a big bonus
*
QUOTE(waveweaver @ Oct 30 2011, 12:33 AM)
Consider it as an upgrade. :-)
SGSII have 4.3" screen. Note have bigger 5.3" screen.
SGSII - Super Amoled Plus. Note - HD Super Amoled.
And among other things are screen resolution, battery and also the processor speed. Ohh yes., most important is the S Pen/Memo features :-P
*
wouldn't u regret if the galaxy note is not smooth as the sgs2? i am looking for this note or nexus to upgrade from my sgs as it really irritates me with the lag and slow speed

You cannot compare the SGS with the SGS II - I have used the SGS and in all my Android phones I have used , it is right at the very bottom of the ranking . Even my ex HTC HD2 on Android outperform it
I would say the SGS Note will not lose out to the SGS II due to its more superior specs and based on all the demo videos it is definitely smoother and faster than the SGS II

~~duhh~~
I'm sure Note will as good if not better than SGSII. It different with SGS where it quite lag and not as smooth as it older brother. Remember SGS is single core while both S2 and Note have dual-core. Nexus is good as it use ICS now but sooner or later SGSII and Note also gonna reveive ICS updates
*
i see...thats why i am afraid to change my phone 1st...i am looking for an android phone which is fast and smooth as the iphone 4. sgs is smooth at first but after installing apps, it slowly become laggy... >.< hate it

You can upgrade to SGSII as it is much better than SGS. If you like bigger screen then get a Note. If you have enough funds and want phone that smooth and have latest firmware, get a Nexus.
*
haha....considering between nexus and note loh...but there are weaknesses in each...nothing is perfect.

note: no ics yet...display less ppi, no zero shutter, scare not as smooth as nexus in future ics

nexus: lousier hardware, no s-pen, only 5mp camera but image quality not yet known

im getting my hands on this beast...it has everything i want...
i wonder...will most of u guys using finger or the s pen a lot?
*
if the camera is clear and phone is smooth without any lag, it would have all that i need. i think the s-pen would be useful for me to take notes in classes or when i do not have a pen or paper..

Why must you do so many things at the same time?
Yes, Note can use usb OTG but had to buy the cable separately as it didn't come with the box.
*
i like to multitask...thats why i hate it when my sgs lags always especially when i download something in the background with wifi and play games..well the reason i go for android is multitask and also the freedom of it...i love the smoothness of iphone but it doesnt impress me with keeping user in jail and no true multitasking

Good for you :-)
It just a matter of little tweaking only
You mean for SGSII or Note.? Note dont have G version.
For SGSII the G version comes with different CPU/GPU processor. It processor is nearly the same with Nexus.
You can check the difference by :-
1) Look at the back at the box stated I9100G
2) Through the phone itself - setting > about phone > model number (GT - I9100G)
*

to check whether is G version, go menu > setting > about phone > model number
*

Attached some pics - I just point and click using all the default settings. I am not an expert in photography. Resolution is default 3264X2448. Each shot turns up to be 3.4 MB
