wow... looks like this is my next phone. My wife will say i m crazy to carry such a large phone. Have been upgraded from Desire >> Desire HD and so happy with the bigger screen. But thinking of getting a 10.1 android tablet too... hmmm... so many gadgets to waste money.

If DiGi bundled this with the smartplan at good pricing, then no brainer to get it coz my contract is expiring this december. Else, might need to consider either this or the tablet.

EDIT: How's is the Samsung smart phone quality now compared to the first gen Samsung Galaxy which was plagued by quite some problems previously? I did play with the Galaxy Tab 7" at Maxis Centre few months ago and found its build quality is good though.

may sign up for one with DiGi if they have it in December when my 1 year DHD contract expires. The size is really massive - the stylus is a nice feature too.

dun worry about all the jargon - if you like the big screen, that's it!!

the screen of the Desire HD has been debated to death before it was launched - some said it is amoled, some said it is SLCD, and some even said different region will get different screen. At the end, all DHD confirmed only come with SLCD and the screen really "pale" in comparison to AMOLED. I can verify this when I put it beside my earlier batch of Desire which come with AMOLED. YES, the colour of AMOLED is nice BUT i will take the DHD anytime due to its screen size.

So worrying/debating on the screen type is pointless IMHO. You will just awed by the massive screen size when you hold it in your hand or hands.

If DiGi bundles it with SmartPlan 68 1 year contract for RM1,700 or lower, a sure buy for me. But then I am also eyeing the Asus Transformer Prime tablet, hard decision.

how much and where did you buy?

wow... can be certified as office-ready!! Good to hear that JB got the roadshow too, will definitely go test test.

only thing missing is the HDMI output to make it a full tablet replacement. But I think i am asking too much.

DiGi will be launching the GNote too? any idea of the offer? Just check DiGi web site, nothing on GNote yet.

i think DiGi did not tell you the pricing plan yet, right? Hopefully there will be some ready stock at the JB roadshow. Made up my mind to sell my DHD and get this.

i think some one already predicted this few pages back - he mentioned there will be no samsung phones offer by Maxis in the future.

i think should be able to. But i am eyeing on the DiGi bundle as my contract is expiring on early December. The Note arrive just in perfect timing.

last year contract DiGi for only 1 year get about RM600 discount. I think nowadays DiGi does not give so good deal already.

yes, 2 years is too damn long (to change to new phone ).

but looking at the current offer of SGS II from DiGi, i dun expect much from DiGi.

if really no good offer from DiGi, might just skip this and get Transformer Prime only in December.

i dun foresee any queue at JB road show. Previously for the feverish Desire HD launched by DiGi last year, JB DiGi is so quiet, I am the first and only one there while in Klang Valley, everyone was hunting for one like mad.

KSL city is not mentioned in the newspaper ad, not sure about that. I just ineterested to know the DiGi bundle price.

you can only find out the coverage yourself. For the area i normally hang around - the coverage is not bad at all for my DiGi line - always downloading much faster for my Desire HD rom from multiupload. downloading with streamyx will mysteriously ended before it is completed.

i think they may not want to sell to you just after the launch. They need the units to sign up new customers as the stock for first batch normally is limited.

But cannot be sure 100% coz it depends on which DiGi branch you go. IIRC, during the launch of Desire HD, although the supply was really scarce at launch day, there were still ppl able to buy a non-contract unit from DiGi at RRP, definitely not in KL though. I think is somewhere outskirt like Ipoh.

no extra charges for Citibank conversion. you just call them up and they will divide the sum over the number of months, of course plus the interest at 9%+ i think.

the 0% instalment by DiGi not good at all (take the current SGS II as example). For the 2 years contract, basically you pay in advance 2 years subscription to them for discount of only RM25/month. For light user, just buy the phone without contract and sign up for the RM48 1GB quota plan might be more worth.

DiGi is changing the payment plan to improve their cashflow. 1 year ago when i sign up my DHD with contract, i get instant RM600 off the phone price, plus 6 months RM20 discount on the RM68 smartplan. It is a no brainer to just sign up for the contract.
