I got a questions about the Alarm System.
Normally, when we lock our car it will shut down the lock & there is a Lights blinking that shows the car is armed. I saw there is only 1 light in the meter blinking (red), is this the indicator of my alarm is armed? Buy my concern is, even I just switch Off the engine (while I'm still in the car), the light already start blinking. I was thinking, I'm not even press my alarm to shut the door, it already start blinking. So, is this the Alarm Armed indicator? If not, where is the indicator? or this car has no indicator at all? Then, what is this light blinking about ???!!! |

Just tested.
Once Switch Off the Engine Key, the ALARM LED Armed (inside the meter area) indicator started to blinking. Then move outside the car & press the Alarm remote, it is also blinking the same speed. So, is the Alarm Indicator faulty ? |

QUOTE(gamenoob @ Sep 15 2011, 04:04 PM) BTW, how is the average FC for alza? I'm looking between this and the Myvi 1.5. mine around RM50 for 300km-350kmMy wife Myvi EZI now is going to be 6yrs old soon and FC is about 9-10KM/L or RM50 for 250km. 90% for residential area drive ie to/from school and lots of idle and waiting time. Everyday almost 45m to 1hr waiting. If I drive it to highway, it get pretty decent about 12km/l. So if the Alza able to hit above 12km/l on normal city drive, at least it should be better than Myvi 1.3 otherwise I will get the Myvi 1.5 Eithanius, As for all the problem listed for Alza, I say a lot of them you having wrong expectation....You will most of the problem even for 200-300k car... 350km use more in highway 300km mainly in KL city drive if special jam (concert/soccer times) case & wait till nuts, i think around 250km |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Sep 26 2011, 09:23 AM) I don't know much about electrical, so the terms I use here might not be correct but just to illustrate on what I learn from mechanics. May I know +/- 380km for RM50 ?If our Alza needs 1000mAh each time we turn on the car engine, and the battery we use is just 1100mAh, then the battery lifespan will be very short. Because we have only 100mAh buffer. So if we turn on the aircon to full one day, charge something, or for whatever reasons used very close to 1100mAh, it kind of reduces the battery's lifespan. But, if we put in a 1300mAh battery, then we hardly strain/stress the battery since we cannot reach the limit. The 300mAh buffer is more than sufficient to cover all our needs. Hence, the battery will last longer. However, the issue is different battery capacity has different sizes. I don't know what size can fit into our Alza. Added on September 26, 2011, 9:26 am Aiya, 450km is very good already la. Not yet a bull, maybe a calf. I'm the real bull. I hardly reach 400km. Just something close to 400km, maybe +/- 380km. But the thing is, only sometimes I hit until 3000rpm going uphill. Most of the time on 2000rpm only. I cannot figure out why my mileage so low. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Sep 28 2011, 09:41 AM) What do you mean? Sorry, I don't understand the question. Because RM50 only cannot reach 380km. If possible to do that, you will immediately be the richest person in the world. Because you have discovered a breakthru. So I must have misunderstood your meaning. Yeah, you had misunderstand my question.I just want to check with you how much your petrol for how many KM. Mine averaging RM50 can go for 300KM, if jam around 250KM, if more highway to Seremban around 350KM. Just wanna compare am I accelerating too much on my Alza or not |

QUOTE(tyenfei @ Nov 5 2011, 09:19 PM) I heard it also. But don't know how far the price would be. If KL get RM185 & Klang RM175, no point go there as Petrol also gone. Where can get cheapest original Alza Silverstone size 185/55 in KL or Puchong area ? |

QUOTE(LeVis_Jeans @ Dec 18 2011, 11:20 PM) Dear Sifu / Alza owner here, hi potential buyer of Alza I plan to buy Alza, but after read the first post.. i worry about it. Dirty Front Rims / Noisy Front Brake (This still ok, can solve when brake pad finish use) Wind Noise on Driver Side/Front Left Passenger Windows (Aiyo.. need stick masking tape meh ? Sdh tak cantik lor.. Even send to P2, they also stick masking tape ??) Rear Break Noise (Brake noise when driving or when then time u press brake) Noisy Cabin (ini boleh bising then proton gen2 or myvi?) Rattling sound everywhere (I sure my father dunno solve this problem) Steering Rack Rust (Ini juga sama, tak tau apa nak buat) Soft Car Horn (My Gen2 horn also solve.. ok laa) Front Bumper doesn't clip well (near headlight) (Walao errrr..Will the bumper drop? My Gen2 mod bumper drop b4 coz no clip well) Loose number plate on rear trunk door (Ini boleh stick balik) Underpower/Slow Pick Up (Nvm.. my father is slow driver. BUT FOR ME....ok laa) Steering vibrates on uneven road especially turning (No solution? How vibrate izzit? never try compare never know..) Annoying Air-Con compressor (Acceptable) Perodua Alza will more problem compare with Proton Waja/Myvi/Gen2/Persona? I heard my sister friend who's own P2 Alza. He said Alza roof very "thin" When raining can hear the noisy sound like staying in bumbung besi rumah. Izzit real ? Don't be afraid of all problem you can read internet. Every car has it problems. Some ppl don't mind certain things. And you pay what you should get. For me, Perodua or Proton also got problem. If I think & compare both problem. I rather choose the Perodua Problems, so I chosen Perodua Alza. U ask the Raining hit the roof sound. Yeah, a bit noisy compare to other cars. My experience is this:- When raining, I feel that the Front Glass is even more noisy, alrd overlap the Roof Noise alrd Just switch ON the CD Player & raise the Volume, no more Roof noise. My memory counted, 5% of my driving is Raining. So I don't mind this. Wind Noise on Driver Side/Front Left Passenger Windows, complaint when you do 1st service. Soft Car Horn, I usually don't horn ppl. And I'm not impressed if I have nice sound of horn. So I don't mind this. For Power Performance. I no longer drive like my first car (Manual). I am normal driving type or slow type. I won't rush to somewhere cause it is dangerous Others problems not available for comments cause not in my Alza. A lot of Good points for using Alza, only it doesn't appear in Internet / Forums. If appear in Internet / Forum, mostly is negative / problems. Okay, one very good points for me is -> comparing few brands & price, Alza good for me is "Practicality" & "Spacious". Good Luck |

QUOTE(LeVis_Jeans @ Dec 19 2011, 12:19 AM) Actually some problem i can accept.. Many ppl said Proton Gen2 have a lot problem.. But when i drive Gen2 since 2008. I course many problem to me even power windows still functioning well. Just Aircond problem (auto on to max and off) and wind noise while speed over 130km/h (even raise the volume). My mod (R3) bumper drop on road coz no clip well... THIS I CANNOT TAHAN ! LOL!!! if bumber drop while driving, 1st thing i will think is bring the car to service centre to complaint & get it fix. Will P2 Alza bumper drop while driving on road ? or.... longgar longgar ?? Maximum i will go 2 times, if design fault making cannot rectify, i will bring to 3rd party to rectify this bumper problem (if only exist) |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Dec 20 2011, 08:57 AM) Check for scratches, electronics, if all the items are in the car. Whatever that does not work, I think they won't replace for you on the spot, but will record down and let you go to the service center to get it done. Basically you want to say "hey, this thing here is what you have done, not me" so later no need to play the game: passing the blame. May I know what is the issue of spare tyre for ur case ?No point telling them those listed in this forum, like wind noise, etc. On a separate news, P2 has finally replaced my spare tyre and a new modified bracket for me. Whole process is about one month. But I am still not completely satisfied with their modification on the bracket. I will add my own to it. Just to be 101% safe. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Dec 20 2011, 11:45 PM) I can only warn you but I cannot tell the future. These are facts to warn you: What can I do ?- P2 told me I am not the first - the bracket that they replaced me are modified, not the same as the usual bracket So if you think no problem. I'm not unlucky then pls don't do anything. If you think you are concern, then try to do something. Peeking into which sections 1st ? or How to say to the perodua service center officer ? I'm going there next week. |

QUOTE(n8210 @ Dec 22 2011, 10:03 AM) Laugh, yes. If I hear it from a fren I would also lol. But when u killed someone (the unlucky one) then it is no more laughing matter. My brief summary again for those who did not read the previous post. May I know how long already u bought ur car ? May be now new car they tried fix it alrd ?- one strange day, while driving i think 60-70kph, suddenly i heard "crank x3". I tot i ran thru a metal stick - i look at my rear view mirror, was shocked to see my bracket jatuh, spare tyre terbang higher than superman - complaint to P2, they send technician to visit me, told me I'm not the first - think of the letter Y, the single side is locked down with a long screw. U access this screw from the trunk. Unscrew this one screw to release the spare tyre when you need to change or pump air - the other 2 sides of the letter Y, are supposed to hang on to the car and never come off, but they did while I was driving - P2 gave me a new bracket with a bigger metal rod that still fits thru the hole, but they are not harder to bend - cos when i lost my tyre on the road, without jacking the car, kneeling down, one hand tahan the floor, one hand go in underneath the car, I can insert the damn metal rod back in. Just one hand leh abang adik kakak cucu cicit pakcik makcik - so how firm can this bracket sit and tahan ur tyre from falling off? - i guess if the strength is just border line, so we are playing russian roulette on the streets Added on December 22, 2011, 10:04 amI have thought of the solution, i will go get my cheap solution and then take a photo for you guys. I dont know what the item is called. But it is damn cheap and easy to put and take out. |
