It's stable, and yet dangerous... you know why...? Coz engine noisy once go beyond 110kph, that kinda noise can make me go sleepy during afternoon drive, always kept fighting fatigue... Whenever I travel outstation with the Alza, I prefer traveling after sundown...

but buying car and upgrade car is different things to get mah.

even livina still can have lot of different if willing to spent for upgrade / mod. this thing happened to all cars right? 

got ppl buying 30k car then spend 40k for modding/ upgrade. I personally can't agree with this BUT still somebody love to do it

I was target Livina before, but still no regret lah.

For the Alza problem, really hope more ppl can join the club member. With large number of register member then only can really deal with P2 .. just my personal opinion.

I heard that livina club support by Nissan technician ( can't recall where i read this  )

I've spent 4k on my Alza for things that other ppl cannot see... Still not satisfied...

A little update of my car... Masuk kilang this friday while Perodua gets me a replacement car for temporary use...

For me, I never expected sound proof will be good for this 5-doors compact MPV. As you mentioned about the built quality, it was not as good as toyota or even daihatsu but still yet better than proton except chassis toughness.

  My car was auto EZi, stock & non-modify, spark plug, air filter and 10W/30 API SM used standard as spec written. I managed to clocked at RM 0.15 / km or 12.6km / L (Light and moderate foot) , jam 3 hours a day to pj and back home daily.

1. Sound proof, Perodua Alza 2011 already w/roof sound proof, those before 2011  that can report to P2 and have them to install it FOC. Don't give high expectation on 5 doors local made compact MPV. Due to cost constraint, all had been removed to minimal if compare to Toyota Passo Sette.
SO, PLEASE DON'T EXPECT CABIN NOISE WILL BE QUIET AS 4-DOORS SEDAN!

2. Power to weight ratio, not as good as 1NZ-FE engine but enough to move it freely. For me, I felt it was ok if compare to heavier proton exora. 3SZ-VE was good in low to mid torque, sufficient for town use. 1NZ-FE was full aluminium engine where else 3SZ-VE was cast iron engine. Both different in material and of course the cost to built it. Therefore performance and FC will be slightly different.

3. Chassis toughness, only met Daihatsu Total Advanced Function compliant, proton was better than perodua!

4. Seldom got weird problem. 3SZ-VE well known to be used in Toyota and Daihatsu. I can said much more steady and reliable than campro series engine. Gearbox, it happened to some unlucky owner, just claim P2 and shoot email to via perodua website. I sent 3 email, they call me 3 times and I question them why P2 charge me for sound proof to be install for 4 doors as it was min. requirement for manufacturer to install it before the car delivered. P2 speechless and start talking alien words.

Money was major issues. Perodua Alza was economically compact mpv in terms of price and costs of ownership w/minimal running cost.

We need money pay other stuff such as house, children, parents and daily expenses; really not all people can use their wages to enjoy the fun of cars and yet cars was 100% depreciate asset than houses.

You afford, you buy can choose expensive and better one. Not afford, get the one can serve your daily purpose. No choice.

Just DIY installed a Captor VS taken from my previous Saga before it was sold hopefully can give at least slight help on battery because it was really small NS40 even my saga 1.3 were using NS60 battery.

About the steering rack rust, i think perodua did something to rectify this by sticking some kind of patch maybe anti rust patch on the spot where the air cond water will drop onto but not duno how effective is it. Can i request SC to add a pipe on it to let it drop directly onto the ground?

Been driving my 3 days old Alza so far i can say this car was really nice to drive around the city. I'm happy with it.

this problem is a serious problem. Y they not admit it and call bc all and fix it bc. I think this problem not jz happend on my car only.
