QUOTE(emkay @ Jan 24 2013, 06:01 PM)
Aiseymen, these kinda of fighting that I'm afraid of. Fighting each other will not do us any good. We should combine our 'energy' to fight P2 not each other. Let go our differences and stick to what we have in common. If there are enough us, P2 have no choice but to listen to us. That what happened when waja was first launched. Everybody knows how problematic the waja was. Waja community were strong in Autoworld forum that make P1, their MD and even their dealers have to make their appearences in the forum.

Autoworld forum still recognised by P1. The manufacturer of exora CVT (Punch power train) have their technical staff to answer all the questions post by exora owners. We need to have alza community as strong as in Autoworld forum.
*
Tell that to those buggers that have "perfect" cars... They have no business fighting P2. They don't even have the impressions of "sorry to hear that your car is problematic, I feel for you" kinda empathy, all they have is "stop the f***ing whine and live with it"... the usual bolehland's "tidak apa" attitude... That's why P2 don't give a damn...

And that's the reason why we have these kinda "whining" discussions. I bet AutoWorld have these kinda "whine" discussion enough to attract the attention of Proton, why can't we...? That's why I suggest tiensong to post on MyPerodua at the same time...

Should I go sulk about it and let P2 have all the fun making money and keep their customers at the losing end..? I rather have P2 sue me for whining and ruining their market.

Eithan, if you whine alone, I think P2 wont even care and let alone suing you. We need bigger group (like myalza.com), setup a commitee and organize a meeting with P2. I havent got the chance to look into Myalza thoroughly. To see their vision & mission.
*
Actually I do appreciate the efforts of MAOC (hereby MyAlza Owners Club) to address certain minor issues on their own, but now even with 3k people, it is still not enough to "make a dent" at P2, let alone solve major issues... P2 at this moment is just another entity that is hell bent on ripping off consumers with half-baked products... Just read complains on MyPerodua and you will know... How can one pass QC to a car when one bolt to the door is missing..? Imagine the danger it will cause should accidents happen.

QUOTE(Volt @ Jan 24 2013, 07:46 PM)
You know what, im not going to say anything anymore. you manipulate what i said earlier, and try to mislead people by making them believe i said its a perfect car. I just saying some of my opinion at the beginning and you make fun with it with your excessive hand palm face icon. Yea nice way to get respect.
*
It is not my attempt to manipulate your word or mislead people with your word. Humans are imperfect, please emphasise on the word IMPERFECT. Thus human creation, including cars are IMPERFECT. You admitted it, the car is NOT PERFECT (I'm quoting you word by word), yes, all cars are IMPERFECT. And since you tied perfection to quality, Alza is unfortunately not IMPERFECT. It's far from it. It's a DISASTER - Shockingly bad QC.

Let me ask you this, how can you justify a 60k car with a DISASTROUS QC to be good...? A car that gets stranded in the SC every now and then, only to be tested and abused yet again in the SC (a combined 2 months in my case). A car that has the potential to kill other road users with a self-ejecting spare tyre. A car that has the potential to drive you through road rage or prolonged drowsiness with insanely poor NVH (I can vouch MyVis are better). A car that has the probability of a gearbox failure out-of-warranty that can burn a hole in your pocket to replace. A car with whatever shitty problems that are listed on the very first post of this thread.

Put it this way, I have 2 MyVis, cost 49k each. They are imperfect cars yes, but not disastrous. They gave me and my family very little trouble. Some will definitely say 49k for a k-car is overpriced, true, since we have a rather skewed auto-industry that favors protectionism. 49k for an imperfect car is rather OK I might add.

But Alza is 60k, and it's Perodua's flagship model... They are not borrowing new (and perhaps unreliable) technology like those European marques like most people in FnF championed about. It's Toyota and Daihatsu for god sake. Yet I have more problems with my Alza than the 2 MyVis combined. Put yourself in my shoe, and indeed the rest of those owners with problematic Alzas, is this good...?

Tapping wires like that, does it even risk a short circuit..? Remember the alza is a kereta mudah terbakar... tongue.gif

It's ok here both sides, but the problem is the speaker voice is the too soft despite maxing out at volume 25... On highway, road noise is hell, so it's practically unusable... my nokia E71 pairs fine, but doesn't work on iPhones nor iPod touches... Highlighted this problem to Perodua, but they refer me to supplier Betamek in Rawang instead... Die lor if owner ain't from Klang Valley...

Give all those "grandiose" features all half-baked one.... I for one would like to know if my airbag's in working condition...

ain't that follows the 3-year warranty...?

you sure the klok klok sound comes from the absorbers and not the loose brake calipers or whatever nuts that are used to tighten the brakes...?

I know MyVis are common with this problem...

And do you guys notice rattling metal sound coming from the underside of the car when going thru groovy parking ramps...?

because other brand's phone all can't connect with iponeĀ  laugh.gif

It is designed that way lar... doh.gif Even iPhones cannot paired with another iPhone... It is designed to pair to accessories only, not to phones...

What i don't really get is why iPhones and indeed my own iPod touch can detect other wireless headsets and speakers, but not that P2 HU...

i have encountered the cabin door lamp even switched to door, it always open no matter how the doors are closed. LOL...what's the remedy? have to switch it to off all the time now. seems like some shorts?
*
Close the doors and wait around 10 secs... Else lock the doors via remote and the cabin light will go off...

Just got the car today, using iPhone 4S can detect the P2 HU with Bluetooth. Can call and receive call.

Some of them have success pairing it, but most can't... so like I said, it's not the iPhone problem...

Your Alza is Advance Version with the touchscreen multimedia HU...?

i also bought the convex mirror. btw anyone finds the door tad difficult to close? like some sort of air trapped inside inducing outward force when you tried to close the door.

doesn't that make the door closed with a solid thud sound like european cars...? brows.gif

you guys can try test this... close one door with another one open... or close the door with one window down... feels easier to close right...? but then again you will feel like the door closes more with a clank sound...

simple physics...

QUOTE(emkay @ Feb 12 2013, 05:46 PM)
Just arrived in kepala batas from KL. This is 1st. long distant driving in the alza. Few surprises. NVH is better than my previous persona. Only at certain sections of the highway where the vibration is not good (concrete highway). Vibration felt on steering wheel & seat. Not sure due to suspension or the tires pressure.
*
There's a reason why it is called NVH, and Alza has extremely poor NVH... Change that damn tires and foam that damn chassis... That should reduce some of the NVH...

I've been complaining to Perodua about the steering vibration on uneven roads since day one... Steering feel is even worse than MyVi... rclxub.gif

For some odd reasons, after changing to Mich PS3 tires and foaming my chassis, I tend to like speeding (feels like gliding) on concrete highways than tarred ones... Excessive droning sound is higher on tarred roads. How I wished all KL roads are made of reinforced concretes... More durable and less potholes...

QUOTE(emkay @ Feb 12 2013, 05:46 PM)
RPM is lower (110kmh @ almost 3000rpm) vs. Persona (MT) 110kmh@3100rpm.
FC only managed 8.3L/100km(Less than 3000rpm) vs. Persona 6.1L/100km@100kmh/3000rpm. Aircon wasn't that good (bigger interior space to be cooled) but blower noise is lower.
*
8.3L/100km is around my city drive... A bit on the high side if you use highway. You carry a lot of passengers and luggages, or speeding kao kao...? unsure.gif unsure.gif

I did a round trip from my house to KLIA, then straight to Ipoh, averaging 350km distance doing 110kph, maybe 140kph on certain stretches on highway. 2 people and the luggages. In Ipoh I did another 62km on 3 people without any luggages. Before leaving Ipoh, I was left with 2 bars of petrol, and refilled again. Stats showed I did 7.19L/100km

On the way back to KL was only myself and my luggages. Speeding averagely 130kph was a breeze, this one I must thank tyenfei's little gadget... brows.gif

@wtm0325, I was able to reproduce the rattling dashboard noise again... Mine stem from engine noise at a narrow window of around 2,800 rpm, much like picking up speed from 110kph, and once I reached 120kph, the noise was gone... does it make sense to you...? sweat.gif

The baby strapped on his chair, he'll need to be superman's baby to unlock his belt.
We try to simulate the incident again but couldn't get it again, because the door should only lock if someone intentionally locks it, or step on the break pedal. Otherwise it should never to have lock the doors on it's own. Luckily she is just outside the house ... imagine if this happens far away from the house.

This is just weird... The car shouldn't lock by itself... You sure your car is not haunted...? brows.gif

Like wtm0325 said, it's time to look for new car... It's about time to start scheming now...

With all the negative reviews that I read, I was afraid to buy alza too but because I have no other choice to fit the budget, I bought the alza. Currently it has done more than 2000Km. Done long distant too. Thank God, there is no major or those problems reported affecting my alza. Hopefully it stay problems free. Looking at my case, there is no problem for me to recommend other ppl to buy alza but like I said. It's all depend on your luck.
*
All those MAJOR problems are enough to detract me from recommending this car to others... With that in mind, anyone can be very lucky enough to get a defective car...

Just look at the NVH... This one will definitely plague ALL alzas... A word of advise to those travelling long distance often... The road noise intrusion from the lousy tyres and untreated acoustics will be enough to cause fatigues behind the wheels... Who in the right mind would wanna endanger themselves and indeed other road users by driving a fatigue-induced car...
