I can't wait for next matches to come!

...and seriously, don't you guys think Van Persie is not suitable to be deployed as lone striker?

Wenger - I have always admired Arteta
Arsène Wenger admits he is a long-term admirer of new signing Mikel Arteta.

The Spanish midfielder became Arsenal’s final acquisition of a busy transfer window when he joined from Everton on transfer deadline day and could make his debut against Swansea at the weekend.

Arteta has always had the exemplary technical attributes Wenger demands from his players and has been linked with a move to Emirates Stadium in the past. The manager revealed on Friday that the 29-year-old has been on his radar for a while.

“Yes, for a long time,” he said. “I’ve known him since he played for Paris Saint-Germain.

“He is one of these players who never had the luck in his career to be completely playing in a consistent way in the Champions League. You feel, if he has that opportunity, he can show how good a player he is.

“I think he had the Spanish qualities but because he has played for a long time in England I’m quite amazed how strong he is in the challenge as well.

“He had a good education in Scotland so he is strong in the challenges.”

Arsenal's Theo Walcott admits he would be ‘rubbish’ without his pace
England international aware of his over-reliance on his speed, claiming to be one of the quickest in the league - while admitting the hurt after the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has admitted he relies hugely on his pace, and even claims he would be ‘rubbish’ without it.

Walcott has long been renowned for his lightning speed and has often been criticised for a lack of end product. He confesses his pace is something he relies on.

“I’d be rubbish [without it]! It’s about touch as well, but pace in the Premier League is massive,” Walcott said on 'Soccer AM' on SkySports.

“I’m fairly quick. I’d be up there. There’s a lot of pacy players in the Premier League but I’d be right up there definitely.”

Walcott has spoken of his pain after being part of the Arsenal side that was dismantled at Old Trafford in a humiliating 8-2 defeat.

“It [the result against Manchester United] hurt a lot.

“Seeing the players go through that, no player wants to be part of that.”

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was criticised after that heavy defeat for perceived tardiness, if not complacency, in the transfer market, though Walcott was pleased with his manager's subsequent deadline day business, especially the signing of Mikel Arteta from Everton.

“Arteta, for me, is an outstanding player. He can just spot a pass. He’s absolutely fantastic.”

Pity Swansea tonight. Hope arsenal will go into the history books tonight for most goal scored in the epl:)

I don't think Swansea's going to make it easy for Arsenal tonight.

Particularly for Van Persie. I think he's going to be tightly marked tonight.

With the lack of defence penetration, i'm worried that we can only surpass their defense by attacking set piece.

The best players on field that is capable of passing and dribbling penetration is Gervinho and Arshavin, but one of them is still suspended and another cannot work alone. Arteta, Mertesacker and Park's duty tonight are gonna be massive. They're responsible for what Arsenal has been lacking off since Henry's era.

Arteta/Park (Set Piece attacking), Mertesacker (Set Piece def/att).

The thing is that.... i don't think Wenger is willing drop his beloved Van Persie of his set piece duty, despite Arteta's talent.

anyway, what do you guys think about Van Persie anyway? I don't think he is perfectly suited as lone striker, in fact, i think he fits perfectly in Bergkamp's role

I miss the game yesterday, only get to watch highlights. Ramsey missed a howler and Arshavin picked up a fluke XD

A good start though...

Hopefully we can see Park start playing next game biggrin.gif

Wenger is suspended for Dortmund match.... and the next ECL game..

13 Tue UEFA Champions League A Borussia Dortmund 19:45
17 Sat Barclays Premier League A Blackburn Rovers 12:45
20 Tue Carling Cup H Shrewsbury 19:45
24 Sat Barclays Premier League H Bolton Wanderers 15:00
28 Wed UEFA Champions League H Olympiacos 19:45
26 Sat Barclays Premier League H Fulham 17:30
30 Wed Carling Cup N Quarter-Final

I wonder which match Park will be handed his full debut hmm.gif

Eventually i prefer Benayoun/Ox/Miyaichi over Walcott. He was pretty much rubbish without his pace.

He's too reliant on his teammates and couldn't pull the string alone. And as a winger with that pace, the only way u can utilize it is to pull a counter attack and finish off what's remaining alone. But what he did was kinda awful... running towards the corner flag and wait for his teammates to help him out = ="

Walcott needs to be brought down and out of the media spotlight. He's been under tremendous pressure as one of the most inconsistent English national player. Pulling him out of the national team would be better imo, despite destroying his confidence. He's trying too hard to impress, but never really improve what's needed of him to improved on.

Team news: Diaby, Ramsey, Vermaelen, Wilshere

Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Saturday's Premier League game against Blackburn.

on Abou Diaby...
He should be available after the international break. He is doing well now. He is just starting at the level that we are in in pre-season. He has three weeks planned now, from this Friday. So if he has no set-back after the international break, he will be available.

on Aaron Ramsey...
Ramsey had a little test today [Thursday] and will practice tomorrow, he has a little chance to be available.

on Thomas Vermaelen…
Vermaelen is progressing very well and will be available after the next international break.

on Jack Wilshere...
I cannot give you any news because he is in a boot for [six weeks in total]. The test will come after that.

sos: Arsenal Official website.

Blackburn is one of the tough tackling team, hopefully we don't get ourselves more injury on our players.

Their status is pretty much same as Arsenal, but more desperate. Having to miss 2 penalty on last game vs Everton and facing fans backlash this week, i doubt the Rovers will make it easy for us.

Hey..how are you? Lol..no need kakis to watch Arsenal games wan. As of now, it is rather safe to watch Arsenal matches ALONE at home. By judging Arsenal's current state, the stress and anxiety accumulated every match might be too much  brows.gif . Later explode in public then not nice la..haha
*
doing just fine biggrin.gif how r u?

my family is watching astro at home and most of the mamaks outside is swarmed with MU, Chelsea and Liv fans. Worst still, most of the mamaks change channel halfway of the game whenever i watching Arsenal game. doh.gif

I only using 512 streamyx package = laggy streaming

It's very exciting to watch the new players perform and i don't wanna miss it sad.gif it's the stress and anxiety that make me want to watch it more. If i want steady games then i'll be watching La Liga instead since its 2 team league.. lol

what time is our game starting?
